Been having a few problems and wondering if anyone can provide help??
Tried X04 bios and had a bit of a play, nothing major and switched on today and constant bsod, returned to default/clr cmos and stlll bsod, only way to get to windows was to select "load defaults and boot"
Flashed back to F6 and still had bsods
managed to get it working and re installed win7 and 8(2xSSD) all seemed to go well but there back, bsod code f4 which i beleive points to a drive but they both cant be bad and i also get memory management, tried sticks at xmp and defaults (ram is corsair dom plats 2800, also does it with my ripjaws)Something is not right somewhere and i'm almost certain its the board (hardware) at fault, have also tried both bios's

Whats considered to be the best bios for this board, will be used sub zero, currently have F6 installed

Not taken a mm reading, not sure where too?? Like i said new to all this really. That reading is from bios and what gpuz confirms, max temp running vantage is 34c at that clock.

^from what i read yes, thats why i was going to flash bios, mine will do 970 at stock and no idea how good that is, under water and 1.31v

Have been reading regards flashing with the BE bios and i'm yet to find one that worked, mainly due to the 6+8 pin config i believe. Looking like a hard mod is the way to go, but is it worth it with the analogue caps???? i'm i better off grabbing another model?? for what they cost and maybe less hassle in the long run??

Has anyone flashed a non reference xfx 4890 with another bios?? Namely the BE bios. Trust me to get one without the voltar controller, how do i find the datasheet for the controller as i may be able to pencil mod it.
If i flash and brick it do i just put another card in another slot so i can flash the bricked one??

Have a 5960K that will do 4.8 at just over 1.4v on water and with SS so far did this http://valid.canardpc.com/zplyqx but didn't drop the ram, its still running at 2666mhz cas12 so should do 5.5GHz at similar volts.
Would want £1000(GBP) for this +shipping/insurance

Yes manually installed all drivers, im tuning for Pi32m and it was always 2 seconds down on win7 after only a few steps, ended up copy and pasting some of the files from the MEI folder into sys32 folder and that i think got my time back, but i still dont think its right. At 4G currently hitting 7m31s, (no wazza), rams at 3098 cas12 with tight subs, RTL will not go lower than 51, this is a gskill 2666 kit.

Managed to get xp running but its kinda not working correctly, SM bus is not showing in device manager so not entirely sure its installed, also memtweakit comes up with SMBios header missing, i'm kinda guessing here that the 2 problems are linked.
I have no yellow flags with system in dev manager.
Any ideas on how to correct this please.
