  1. I don't know why involves Brazil...nothing in the topic is about Brazil.

Pascal not available in Newegg, Amazon, Microcenter... and sure, in Brazil, and I never see to sell in any place.

If the Germany's people can find, is really a nice thing for the country... it proves they (NV.de) care to have the last for customers there.

Even in Nvidia event in Santa Clara, yesterday, Nvidia not talk about Titan Pascal...

About ES CPU and Elite, is Hwbot decision.

I only used that example, because is for me pretty similar case... is component "just for few".

Personally I don't know what kind of relationship under Elite and CPU ES... Why someone in Elite League have more acess to ES... I don't know about this

And for the last mate, this is not my points.

Regardless is my ponint of view, I bring some usual answers in our groups.

For me, it is all right.

Keep your great job for community Roman.

maybe I misunderstood your sentence that it's impossible to get in Brazil - anway doesn't matter. In the end nvidia is just going full ret ard at the moment with their policy. Personally I wouldn't even be mad if we would ban the card from hwbot :D

At the moment it seems that ES is getting less and less. I really don't see much ES stuff floating around.

  2. So to sum up the points:

    1. ES CPUs are unfair and should be banned

    2. Ban Titan X Pascal because it's not available in Brazil

    3. Lower points for useless results such as 742 XTU dual core and increase points for 3D

    My opinion:

    1. Latest gen ES are only allowed for Elite guys so it's fine to me

    2. You can easily get the card here in Germany at Nvidia.de. However, I agree that it's absolute BS what Nvidia has been doing lately. Their sales and OC policy is absolute garbage

    3. This will be changed with the upcoming revision 7

  3. 1.4v @ 4800 is a very bad bin imho, all the cpus I got from Caseking were around 1.33-1.35v @ 4.8 GHz, better don't show the box in public. With Tapakah rejects which do 1.4 @ 4.8 GHz we don't even try on ln2...

Good on air is not always good on LN2. My best LN2 CPU was by far not the best on air :P

I also had one 4.8 @ 1.22 Volt and it only did 6.35 GHz. Just saying^^

  4. But I dont agree with the "keep all benchmarks" thinking. We have a point system which is based on the activity of each benchmark. We have to keep the ones we have busy for the points system to be viable. Also there is the aspect of competitiveness. Even now we don't see people with the best cpus/gpus bench all relevant benchmarks because there are too many so they don't need to. Seeking out the categories with the lowest level of competition is a very viable strategy here on hwbot, but the phenomenon is not good for the sport. A high level of competitiveness should be a nobrainer for all sports that wants to thrive.

Maybe one solution would be to adjust the activity aspect. Maybe increase the influnce of activity. So this way the unactive benchmarks would "disable" themselfes.

  5. Yes I also thought exactly the same about legacies. Also the amount of benchmarks we have on the bot also does not matter. Even if we have 100 benchmarks, you still only need 15 globals for your profile.

If you don't like 3DM2001, bench something else. It's much better to have a big selection of benchmarks and everyone can bench what he wants. Removing legacies won't fix anything

  6. The whole 2D vs 3D discussion is absoulte nonsense. No matter how you tune the points, you can't shift the user activity towards 3D when the amount of money involved is several times higher.

Even if you push the focus towards 4K benches you still need a 800-1200 USD (or even more) VGA to be competetive and most likely you also have to mod it. I mean seriously how can you belive that anybody is willing to do this when you can get a whole 2D rig with 6700K for ~ 600 USD and dont have to mod it...

HWBOT revisions have a big impact on the OC community and activity and you should think how you can get more people started and I can guarantee you that this is the wrong path.

The new Titan X will be out in few weeks which will be priced above 1000 €. If you want to be competitive in 3DM11, 3DMVantage, 3DMFS you need X99 with 6950X + Titan X + quad memory kit. That's at least 4000 € just to participate. How many people do you think will be able to participate there? 5? 10?

It's cool if you like 3D but if you force people to buy this kind of hardware for the rankings, hwbot will be totally dead within months.

  7. From Play3r.net: Dimastech Files For Bankruptcy - Benched For Good? - Play3r.net

    Update 00:56GMT 10/07/16

    – Dimastech Systems Inc have contacted us via Facebook and stated that the USA section of the company has NOT filed for bankruptcy and has no ties with the Italian side of the business (which has filed for bankruptcy as can be seen here –*114/2016 Dimastech System di Alice Ghioni e c. snc nonch)

Aparently there are several different companies. Rumors say one is owned by Dimas and one by his wife for example. I forwarded the info of this thread also internally in caseking to check what we are up to (currently we still list dimastech products)
