  1. Even though this is not remotely interesting for 24/7 users and makes the huge timings make this stuff look oh so dirty, I still kinda like this screenshot Oh right. I do use a special force to mount my CPU cooler for this: gravity.
  2. I don't think it's running 6.3G ...
  3. Did you enable EIST?
  4. Good catch! - P8P67 WS Revolution bios (1202): http://91.121.148.119/downloads/BIOS/P8P67-WS-REVOLUTION-ASUS-1202.ROM
  5. Also picked up the rumour that there will be both LOC and a competition on HWBOT to directly qualify to the live final. More details on those two events will follow in June.
  6. Found a bit more information about the MOA qualifiers in the Philippines. This looks very well organized: first there's an online competition with Wprime1024M and Vantage. The top-10(!) will battle in a live final on May 21st. Online: April 11 - 30 Live: May 21 A pity, though, that the online competition part is held at Facebook ... :-/ LINK: http://tipidpc.com/viewreview.php?id=11

  9. Huh. Strange. Lemme check tomorrow-morning
  10. I tested with 2x 4GB and the scaling was pretty similar. I assume there would be a bit less IMC overhead, so a bit better results. But it was not significant enough to continue pushing with 8GB. What's the simplest stability benchmark of the 4 you mentioned?
  11. It's not really OC ram; you would buy this kit pretty much because it's 16GB .
  12. Heh, "but it's a dell". Working Dell is worth as much as a dead board .
  13. Kit and content of box First set of results I received this kit a few weeks before I was allowed to bin Sandy Bridge CPUs at Tones. Now, I have a CPU that can do ~ 108MHz BCLK on air, so I will have to retest the kit to see if it goes any higher than on the previous chip (max 5.4GHz). Also will try a benchmark that makes full use of all 16GB. Tests will be continued after MOA! Test setup: - Core i7 2600k - Asus P8P67 Deluxe - MSI P67A-GD65 - Antec Truepower Quattro 1KW - WD Raptor Results: This kit doesn't really scale that well with voltage. More than 1.75V makes the scaling go down quite rapidly. Also, CL9-11 isn't easy to push much further than the stock rated speed; with CL10 everything goes a lot more smoother, but then again ... CL10 looks so dirty . - DDR3-2133 CL9-10-9 - DDR3-2146 CL9-10-9 - DDR3-2133 CL9-11-9 - DDR3-2144 CL9-11-9 - DDR3-2199 CL9-11-9 - DDR3-2234 CL10-12-10 - DDR3-2252 CL10-12-10
  14. I don't want Giorgio to give 'more room' to overclockers with headsets. Notebook on table is prohibited, so we need to find another solution.
  15. Use very long cables and put laptops in media area? Or wireless headset?
  16. Link to screenshot of two CPUs: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showpost.php?p=4040943&postcount=5 Case solved?
  17. Updated again (+ added binning procedure): - 112 FPO/steppings - 321 different samples
  18. The good thing about this year's broadcast should be that OCTV is basically allowed to do everything since the initiave is from their side. That means they can experiment (headsets for instance) and see how things turn out. I'm hoping they can get arranged to see screenshots of the incoming results. Or just catch the flow of incoming results. I can imagine it to be difficult for 3DM11, but on the first day there is so much time it should be possible to spend like 5 minutes for interview. Lol, there is like 2h30 minutes preperation time. That's enough time to set up, cool down, get scores ánd kill your hardware.
  19. Added this one from Cal930
  20. Apparently first boards should be getting to retail channels now. Not sure if the board CAL930 has is retail or provided by GBT too.
