Actually T-shirts as merchandise is quite common... It has been ongoing since Gigabytes first event... And actually even before that.. Well I am glad to hear that you are not staff (yet) because, then you are not criminal.
-
WTF?!?!? He so did 2 months ago! Where did he move to? I swear his workspace was in Canada back at CeBIT.
-
1) Board has been tested since what... January? (TeamAU and Hicookie around Asia & Aussieland) 2) I know Montreal event wasnt an overclocking event, dispite you being Gigabyte staff, they wouldnt have used you if it was in first place. (To my knowledge; Chew, Gomeler, FUGGER, Brian Y, Macci and the many other overclockers with experience in NA has not died within same month)

I did not mention Dusan, now did I? But the quantity of CPU-z compared to real tests has been very abnormal. I am not accusing Gigabyte of anything - but I hope that the many good overclockers out there have not given up on their own priorities.
-
Well I am honestly not onto only GT... Even the oldies with 4 cores are qualified... Just a REAL test, and WITHOUT motherboard limitation, only limitation is trying to remove the seeded results... I believe that many of the blokes out there with chips from the vendors will keep away, or use another chip.

I think the X58A-OC is a strong board, unfortunately the PR division either dont agree or simply dont consider stability of interest. If I had a product that on paper rapes everything else on the market, I would be eager to reveal it - to show off, to make the jaws drop... Not something that every single board can do... 7ghz CPU-z with the right chip, a UD3R can do just as well as the OC board... ... Im not saying that Gigabyte marketing made this call, but I am suggesting that HWBot as the leading competition site should consider making a little something.

I just got a feeling that some has been asked not to do more then CPU-z.... I see alot of 6.7-7.1ghz posts on XS, on facebook, but I dont see them followed by a test of which actually is CPU intense... Not many days ago Gigabyte even had an event in Montreal souly with the purpose of running CPU-z... I mean, come on...

I am naive, you are likely to smile and laugh... none the less... I suggest that the overclocking community stands together and tell marketing to back off... Alot of well known overclockers, and some more new and "coloured" have showed impressive CPU-z results on a particular motherboard lately - a board that isnt really build for CPU-z, but for REAL overclocking.. I suggest that a contest that is near impossible to monitor and control, therefor no prize for winning, nor big fancy press annoucements made - remove all things that can BIAS vendors... A contest by the overclockers, for the overclockers.... Wprime 1024 Rules; No specific vendor required No cpu given by a motherboard vendor or Intel allowed Time to see what R3E, R3EB, X58A-OC really is made of, and not just what PR divisions wants to see.... And you are right; Hicookie or AndreYang etc. they could send a fantastic chip to some overclocker who could say it is his own find - so it is a matter of honor, hope that a few overclockers out there has more ethics then going that low Cheers, and please leave your input, yes; I know that half of you are laughing by now.

I think it should be removed... Shoot me... I think that less vendor influence in the game would be a nice change....

I dont know if Massman has been consulted, I would personally like to have one, atleast, that has not participated much in live events... G.Foyle, Stelaras or someone "known" from hwbot and/or XS, but not regularly participating in live events.... But hey - might just be a stupid thought. I think main thing is if the overclocker would like to.... One I am sure that is willing to participating is MONSTRU. Massman, please update first post with this picture; EDIT; No disrespect, but interested participants, especially among the contestants, should have a "good" level of spoken English - otherwise you are likely to end up stressing yourself and performing less in the competition of which should still maintain in focus. *Please dont take it as you must be a native, we still got Trouffman, ya know? ;-P
-
I think we should get Neo Sibeko 'theoverclocker' & James (something) 'youngpro' for the live talk, if possible. Skip the rev4 part as scheduled, no need to give massman a valid reason for failing ;-P And F1OC is dead, and was never running properly anyway.. Additional topics could be; Events in generel - rules for these, how/why the vendors misunderstand overclockers (the famous debate of a humble event over exclusive hotels etc.) As you already know; I am up for the fulltime speaking. Henry; There is no way of avoiding the cam, however, the questions you can avoid

Ok imagine this scenario Person A & B both work for company X Person A sends an email; There will be 16/8 mbit Internet Person B sends an email; We cannot confirm the Internet connection Do we agree that it seems they are not sure? There is not really anymore to it, I am not saying that Christians information are faulty, I am STATING that MSI has informed differently elsewhere... I dont see why this needs to be discussed further, it is pointless. Please dont do that buddy, benefits nobody revealing what was said in a private email.

Well I hope that you are right - MSI seems to have doubt. Hmm, I hope the other part is right, honestly I have been sleepy as hell today, but been showing Xyala & 3 fellow students Copenhagen in a weekend, I did not notice any contact about this today - and we were at National museet ~1PM... However, I vote +1 for livestreaming - it is much more appealing then the alternative that I spoke with Tim' about today. One of the problems with live streaming at the moment is that it requires prep, and MOA is ~friday... Getting the hardware, coordinating everything, is not exactly a snap with the fingers... Again why one has to push forward to MSI/Gigabyte/ASUS others; It is CRITICAL that they manage to give CLEAR signal regarding connectivity in advance... Not a priority = Alternative coverage then streaming.
-
That would indeed be fail. If MSI is having doubt about the bandwidth, and invited a media only for the purpose of live streaming, two seats covered with expenses, and then - another media, without experience in streaming, as being a mainly written media gets to use bandwidth for streaming.... Would make very little sense. Oh and for the love of this thread, I think I'll start some of that lovely music, you guys got such a nice taste!
