  1. Hey guys, if you could shed a little light on whats going on here.

    System Specs:

    Evga X58 E759 (air)

Intel Xeon 3570 (cold air Mehaharlem) 4.7ghz HT on

    HIS 5970 (cold air) 825/1127

Display Driver on HIS disk w/out CCC and using Afterburner to OC. WinXP SP3. No LOD or any other tweaks.

Here was my progression of benchmarks:

I see that the scores are much higher than everyone elses on a per clock basis but it continues to scale upwards with each increase of my clocks and is repeatable to the upteenth time. So is this a common type of bug? If you could explain in detail for my noob4life sake I'd appreciate it. thx.

  2. Very interesting and cool to know the details of the early days for the new guys getting into the mix :)

Thx for taking the time to bend space and time to remember the old days :D

  3. What was the official launch date of hwbot.org?

Who submitted the very first benchmark for boints?

What was the Overclcoker's League start date?

Who was the first sustained league champion?

What was the top processor for 2d benchmark scores during the first month of hwbot?

What was the top gpu for 3D Scores during the first month of hwbot?

These are just a few curious questions that crept into my mind today. Any chance of digging up the answers?

  5. CNN World News reported a strange anomily last night in the world markets.

Apparently, since last thursday, companies from around the world have reported a strange surge in employee productivity. They are seeing profit increases like never before and the World Recession is coming to a close.

10 of the top 20 CEO's and Presidents were asked what has caused this sudden and dramatic increase. They all answered: "This surge in employee productivity appears to be the direct result of XS Forums going down last thursday"

In other news, all the top corporations of the world have petitioned for the blockage of Fugger from obtaining IP adresses from within at least 30 countries.

    :P

  6. People like Kinpin are sponsored and get alot of hardware for free... so yes they submit with all their own hardware. If you cant believe that then... too bad for you? For instance I own a pc parts business and so can bench a great number of gear for free. Some people are hardware reviewers. Some people build gaming/crunching/encoding pcs for others and can bench those. So before you start to say everyone on the top is hardware sharing, do some math...

Hardware sharing rules are fair and in place for a reason. Sponsored overclockers obviously have an edge over the rest of us, but hey thats life. Since they are the best, companies give them free hardware to show off its potential... Just like any professional sport or league...

Consider yourselves sponsored by individual entities boys. Same as being sponsored by Evga or Intel, just on a lower scale. Happy Clocking.
