Duke, force flash with AFU. The board became highly unreliable but it was totally worth it. Type AFUxxx BIOSFILE /X to flash without checking the ROM id. Double check the /X, pretty certain that's the right command switch. Chew, hoping they are lenient. I have screenshots from p960 to this p1060 with the same desktop icons in the same places and the windows in roughlythe same location. Just didn't remember to set the background on that boot due to the fatigue/caffeine haze. Sweet, I can only hope the competition operators take note of the score and let the lack of a marketing wallpaper slide. Ahh. Never had enough time with the board to really get into the memory timings. This is what I get for giving myself the last two nights =D so what's your highest backup? P1150 should be possible with those memory speeds.

Nice run. I for the life of me couldn't pass 902MHz on the Mem. Tried dropping QPI, dropping to 4:16, and doing the magical megahurts dance. Nice job massaging the mem. What vigp and temps?

This was part of my second night of runs. I was going to VID mod the vIGP pwm as the FB mod was capped at +140mV. The Intersil spec sheet defines a +150mV OVP so the board was acting correct. On a hail Mary I flashed this h55-gd65 with Massman's H55-ED55 Extreme vIGP bios and it worked with a few weird quirks. My Hypers no longer worked and the board would randomly BSOD with IRQ errors even with everything disabled. This run was my last proper run and was completed around 4:45am after having started at 10pm 1.85vcpu, 1.925vigp, 1.68vdram and 1.525vtt if I remember all the volts correctly. -105 Celcius through the GTs and -115C through the CPUs although it wasn't necessary. Wasn't surprised seeing 1440mhz runs, I completed 3 myself but the memory was down and butchered GT2. I see Hondacity switched from 2:16 to 2:20. Was confused when I saw his p93x score. Was a fun platform to bench, very unstressful.

Don't know how you run subzero down here. Thr board was soaked in 15 minutes and made my Georgis humidity seem like Las Vegas.

*shrug* hardware death is the name of the game. If you aren't having fun until you're on the edge. You guys on p55/3D01 have it much harder. IGP on Vantage is simple: set volts, set clocks, boot into OS, run vantage, splash the pot and walk away. Such a lenient platform for temps and absolutely no heat dump. F1EE drops maybe 10 degreees from start to finish without any ln2.

Tampa, about to get on a boat for a week long cruise through Mexico. Wish I knew how you guys were hitting 1300+MHz on the IGP on these boards. Had to vmod the board in order to even hit 1250 Hitting OVP at 1.57v on the IGP though, now to figure out how to circumvent that. Loaded the dewar and the rig into the car now, off to Florida

Would be nice to have a more precise count-down clock. I leave for a family vacation tomorrow but I'm considering bringing my 25L dewar along with the H55 rig to bench in the hotel room if I make good progress tonight. Would be nice to have a countdown so I can obsess over it during the day. Maybe I can overclock at the beach edit: screw it, just put a timer on my phone. Looks like between the road trip I'll have a dozen hours to bench while on vacation.

I am actually using my cascade at around -40 Celsius for the H55/655k combo I'm running for Stage 1. Don't need LN2 or dry ice for that stage

First and last time I test on a Gigabyte board for an MSI competition. Was using the H55N-USB3 as I didn't trust the H55-GD65 to not suck and turns out my fears were well founded. Damn H55-GD65 won't even come close to what the H55N-USB3 was doing through Vantage. Disappointing, might be time to go pick up a X58 board instead x_x

Just curious, what does a bugged run look like? I ask as I will be all sorts of unhappypants if my epic struggle to break 2 fps in either game test is declared invalid. I remember hearing about the prior drivers doing all sorts of funky crap but were the specific driver requirements not put in place to deter bugged runs?
