how to get hwbot sig/art to display?

Recommended Posts

Hi Folks

Tired of seeing a broken link in my sig...how do I get it working? Pretty sure I screwed up by having a different nick here (scbesterman) than the regular site (funsoul).

Any ideas?

PS- Hmmm...is it possible to change my nick here to funsoul AND get the sig working, too?

Surely all you need to do is copy the forum BBC code from http://hwbot.org/profile/ and it'll work.

Mine looks like this: [*url=http://hwbot.org/user/themaddutchdude/][*img]http://hwbot.org/signature/u18634.png[/img]

Without the asterisks, of course.

I think the forum puts in the signature according to the forum name of the user, and it seems to be using the old format too. Try the one given under "Signature" on the front page and it should work.

Thanks folks!

TheMadDutchDude- This is what it shows there for me:

Seems correct but, as you can tell, not showing anything :/

Don_Dan- I'm not seeing where you mean...can't find anything on the front page that says "Signature"

Very bizarre. I've made sure yours is identical to mine in every aspect and it just doesn't want to show. I'll see if it shows on another forum. Bear with me two seconds.

EDIT: Nope, doesn't work on other forums too. Perhaps it is something to do with the nicknames...?

1) From the main site (hwbot.org), log in and select the "My Account" icon in the upper-left of the screen.

2) Scroll about 1/2 way down the page until you reach the "Signature" section (on the right)

3) Select either "Create or Modify Signature" or "Choose another signature"

4) If you click "Choose another signature", you'll find signatures from other members of your team as well as a number of hwbot 'standard' sigs

5) Click "Choose" to use one of the signatures or click "Modify or delete" to modify or delete that sig (Modify or delete takes users to the same screen as if they'd selected "Create or modify signature" in step 2).

6) If you selected "Create or Modify Signature" in step 2 or "Modify or delete" in step 5, create/modify or delete your sig

Now that we know what caused it, it seems simple. The image was removed (I'm assuming) in the past and therefore it can no longer display. :D
