Folks,

As we condemn the wrong doing of several companies and express negative feelings, we must also praise other companies for their TOP OF THE LINE respect to customers ( end users ) and their AAA+ professionalism.

Motherboard MSI X99S Gaming 9 ACK. One of the most expensive X99 boards in the market today.

A personal mishandling caused a technical issue with the board and I contacted MSI service in Netherlands to see if there was any possibility of repair with a cost of course ( since it was my mistake ).

The reply came the very next day and after a short exchange of e-mails with attached pictures, I WAS AMAZED by MSI's approach.

Free of charge replacement of the motherboard !!!

I pay only shipping.

Done !!!

Kudos and Bravo to MSI for top notch service and customer satisfaction.

It is in my 20+ years of dealing with computers, the second company worldwide ( EVGA was the first ), to treat me like this.

For me, after sales service is more important than anything.

So again, a big thank you goes out to MSI and the guys at Netherlands Service center.

THANK YOU FOLKS.

George Kokovinis

P.S.

Some of you may recall my dreaded experience with Asus, where the problem was with the product and not on my side.

What a difference !!!

That's pretty top notch of them! :D

What was the personal mishap?

Well.. a bit ashamed to admit, but after 15 hours of work, I decided to install a 5930K on the board, at 2 am !!!

Cpu fell from my shaking hands on the socket...

Wow! They covered you for that? That's pretty awesome!

The lesson here...? Never install CPUs when you're too tired to concentrate. :D

Wow. Warrantied pin damage. Outstanding.

Outstanding by all means.

What makes it even more impressive is that I AM NOT a sponsored MSI member of HWBOT.

Yes, I own quite a few expensive MSI products, but they were not aware of that when they decided to replace the board free of charge.

Moreover, I offered to pay for the socket replacement.

No sir, free of charge.

Only shipping.

Isn't this the best way for a company to promote itself ???:ws:

I bet there's a stock of high-end MSI boards that won't clear, that they may as well just give'em away.

Well... NO !

The motherboard world does not end at two models :

1) Asus Rampage V extreme

2) Gigabyte

I personally own an Asus Rampage V extreme. Indeed it is an outstanding

board by any means.

Latest bios 1401 has made the board even more stable under extra tight dram timings.

I am running G.Skill 3200 at 13-14-16-22-1T-270trfc and have benched them with only 1.45V with a 5960X running at 4.9 core-4.6 uncore with only 1.47V on water.

Maxmem recorded 30450 points, which is not that bad, and Alda 64 reported 84500 mb/sec.

Thing is, that after a hard reset, Asus has a very well known issue of getting stuck while initializing memory.

Never had such an issue with MSI. Yes, performance is a lot higher with Asus, but stability at 24/7 use is far superior with MSI.

And maybe we should consider that not everyone is a hardcore overclocker on LN2.

So. I think that there is quite a fair space in the broader market for MSI.

Just my 2 cents of thoughts.:)
