pxhx Posted June 4, 2008 Posted June 4, 2008 http://www.hwbot.org/result.do?resultId=697582 This result was modered and it's not showing CPU-Z... is right? Quote
pxhx Posted June 5, 2008 Author Posted June 5, 2008 so... Rules says: "have a valid screenshot (see example below): clearly show 3Dmark score, 3Dmark subtest scores, 3Dmark settings, processor in CPU-Z, videocard in GPU-Z, unless if you provide a futuremark orb link" Quote
jurek Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 it's not fair, it's not right. in pure cpu-z benchie the validation is needed Quote
Massman Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 so... Rules says: "have a valid screenshot (see example below): clearly show 3Dmark score, 3Dmark subtest scores, 3Dmark settings, processor in CPU-Z, videocard in GPU-Z, unless if you provide a futuremark orb link" Yes, but we're not blocking each score where the validation is a bit off. In the first case, the moderators have to take down the cheated/faked scores, in second case the suspicious ones. If a score is not suspicious at all, there's no reason to block it, even if the verification is not 100% okay. Note that a score still can be blocked because of a lack of verification; in superpi or pifast scores, a CPU-Z is absolutely mandatory, for instance. Quote
Massman Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 Yes it is needed; if you're score is reported, there is a possibility to have it blocked. The more verification you have, the less likely the chances of having a score blocked. Is not having the score blocked the only reason why you would add more information in your screenshot?? Quote
jurek Posted June 5, 2008 Posted June 5, 2008 It's needed, but we won't block you score if you forget it sporadically and everything else seems a-ok. why cpu is needed? lol Quote
T_M Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 If there are no doubts, and if the result is completely on par with the expected, there is little reason to block a score. Then please unblock my 98k '03 single card. Consistency please guys.... Quote
jurek Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 Then please unblock my 98k '03 single card.Consistency please guys.... i think that if cpu-z screenie is needed it should be obligatory either way i dunno what are those rules for Quote
Massman Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 Then please unblock my 98k '03 single card.Consistency please guys.... Wasn't that one blocked because of the lack of FM link when it was in the HOF's? Quote
T_M Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 Yes, thats the one. Its the perfect example where you guys have blocked a score that is well within spec, due to lack of evidence. Yet here you are saying if the result is completely on par with the expected, there is little reason to block a score Quote
Massman Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 HOF's are a different story, Tim, FM links are absolutely mandatory (unless the orb is down and you can't submit). Quote
knopflerbruce Posted June 6, 2008 Posted June 6, 2008 There's no need to block scores that are normal for the hardware. If something is a bit weird, then perhaps it should be blocked because of missing CPUZ screens, but as long as it's out of top 5, I'd say it's not a problem. Quote
jurek Posted June 7, 2008 Posted June 7, 2008 Yes, validation requirements are more strict the higher profile your score is. It doesn't sound very unreasonable to me. thats why orb link is needed... theres nowhere said that hof is anymore special than 2pts score except for orb link Quote
jurek Posted June 7, 2008 Posted June 7, 2008 the higher profile score you post, the higher a statistical chance that the score might be manipulated there are 3 kinds of lies: 1. lies, 2. damn lies, 3. statistics Quote
Massman Posted June 7, 2008 Posted June 7, 2008 So true LOL, you can prove anything with statistics Quote
jurek Posted June 7, 2008 Posted June 7, 2008 your point? im stupid but its enuff to submit correct result so what bout guys who do not supply whole date which is obligatory? Quote
jurek Posted June 7, 2008 Posted June 7, 2008 Because humans sometimes forget stuff. do not validate me to teach em Quote
