Guest Sinebrychof Posted October 18, 2016 Posted October 18, 2016 9000 series are pain with the coldslow. Quote
Strong Island Posted October 18, 2016 Posted October 18, 2016 That's funny, that is the exact core I could reach with mine. Eventually just had to give up. Shutdown at around -45c every time. I tried to epower hoping it would bypass something but it didnt help. Someone mentioned trying to disable temperture monitoring but I couldnt find the ic and didnt have enough knowledge to figure out. Was so annoying because I spent so much time modding, firt vid mod and then epower. Quote

Guest Sinebrychof Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 The 9600 gt i benched has coldslow also at -45 and it is pain. Quote
I.nfraR.ed Posted October 19, 2016 Posted October 19, 2016 I wanted to try mod the bios, but the one cold slow bios for 9800 ref card linked on hwbot is exactly the same as one of the "stock" bioses on TPU. I can't find the "before" and "after" of this exact bios, so can't understand what is changed exactly, comparing with HEX editor. Quote
