CoachAub
For some reason, when I try to run GPUPI, it tells me I do not have HPET and it will not run. However, BIOS is telling me it is enabled. I'm using a Gigabyte Aorus, AX-370 Gaming 5 motherboard. I have the latest bios ver 5Fd. Is there another way to ensure HPET is working or not? Are there any other BIOS settings that may conflict with it?
CoachAub
In test #3, HWBotx265, I have enabled it via the command prompt (admin), using the bcedit command, in addition to it enabled in BIOS. HWBot has the little red message that HPET timer is not active.
Administrators websmile Posted March 25, 2017 Administrators Share Posted March 25, 2017 You used the correct command bcdedit /set useplatformclock yes? If yes, it might be a platform issue, to be sure please ask dev at support thread http://forum.hwbot.org/showthread.php?p=467390#post467390
CoachAub
I solved it. It took more than one "restart". I did have one no-boot and had to start over. After two more restarts, it finally retained the bcdedit command. I still think the Ryzen motherboards are still immature in some ways. (I'm using GIgabyte/Aorus AX-370 Gaming 5 mobo with latest BIOS 5Fd.) Thanks for your help.
