TaPaKaH Posted February 1, 2011 Posted February 1, 2011 As the 478 experts know, there are 3 types of s478 Pentium 4 2.4GHz Northwood: "A" model - 100x24, no HT (often referred to as vanilla, i.e. without the "A" letter) "B" model - 133x18, no HT "C" model - 200x12, with HT There have never been any hybrid (133x18 with HT or 200x12 w/o HT) models. As I can understand from here, this is the "A" category, this is the "B" and this is the "C", right? If yes, then a lot of scores need moving. 1. From the P4 2.4 "A" (x24 multi) to P4 2.4 "B" (x18 multi) category: http://hwbot.org/community/submission/2096976_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/1000729_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/937724_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/802950_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/555626_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/939637_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/1081962_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/921064_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/829835_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/961446_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/966663_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/904436_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/776578_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/803881_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/696253_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/788585_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/934588_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/731048_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/688723_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/878926_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/687264_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/954656_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/965040_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/973005_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/721698_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/772565_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/937733_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/1096478_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/961497_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/776591_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/1082124_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/966618_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/954642_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/803863_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/788567_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/965044_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/688897_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/687180_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/714346_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/1096512_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/776546_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/1082119_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/954606_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/934028_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/961547_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/878994_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/855623_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/966640_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/937726_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/627127_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/1096477_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/688550_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/966256_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/1082121_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/954631_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/934045_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/788565_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/1062165_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/878927_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/731050_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/880076_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/855621_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/965043_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/859727_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/1096330_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/1081976_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/937730_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/966194_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/965883_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/688537_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/776592_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/801310_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/914646_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/934062_'>http://hwbot.org/community/submission/934062_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/788568_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/968200_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/973006_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/934062_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/731053_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/803861_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/859728_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/1062142_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/878929_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/965047_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/855630_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/567636_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/954651_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/973010_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/1082120_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/966579_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/966614_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/776544_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/801309_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/934064_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/914647_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/803862_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/1062237_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/878947_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/855626_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/954486_ 2. And these are just the scores with stock frequency completely mismatched: http://hwbot.org/community/submission/1007720_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/963921_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/852732_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/852741_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/852738_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/678119_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/1079434_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/1079435_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/1079436_ http://hwbot.org/community/submission/1079437_ Also, I want to suggest to rename all three P4 2.4 Northwood categories from Pentium 4 2.4 GHz B NorthwoodPentium 4 2.4 GHz C Northwood (HT) Pentium 4 2.4 GHz Northwood toPentium 4 2.4GHz Northwood (100 FSB)Pentium 4 2.4GHz Northwood (133 FSB) Pentium 4 2.4GHz Northwood (200 FSB) Reasons being:1. Stock FSB / Multi being the clear difference between models 2. I've been buying/looking for s478 chips recently - if even most of the PC builders/recyclers can't answer "is it an A/B/C?" question, then normal users will be confused either. Division by stock FSB will be much easier for them to understand which model they have. Quote
TaPaKaH Posted February 1, 2011 Author Posted February 1, 2011 (edited) there's a similar thing that needs to be done renaming 2.6/2.8 northwoods too: 2.6 comes only as 100 FSB (x26, no HT) and 200 FSB (x13, with HT) - get rid of the letters and (HT) in the CPU category name and grade them by FSB 2.8 comes as 100 FSB (x28, no HT), 133 FSB (x21, no HT) and 200 FSB (x14, with HT) - not the four models we have in the list now If moderators approve but don't have time then, given temporary rights, I can move the scores to categories they belong ... have too much free time and nothing to bench ATM Edited February 1, 2011 by TaPaKaH Quote
Crew Turrican Posted February 1, 2011 Crew Posted February 1, 2011 yeah, it's a big mess in those catgories. Quote
knopflerbruce Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 Bumpetybump. I suggest we use the names suggested by Tapakah (with MHz after the FSB numbers), but maybe add the rev. number too, in case people separate these chips that way. I can move scores, but I want to be sure I'm doing the right thing - can you confirm this, Karl? Quote
Crew Turrican Posted February 19, 2011 Crew Posted February 19, 2011 yeah i think the best would be to write both, so people don't get confused. Quote
knopflerbruce Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 Needed to do some uni related stuff I'll do this late next week This will take a little while Quote
knopflerbruce Posted March 13, 2011 Posted March 13, 2011 I'll do this tomorrow need some sleep, this will take a while:p Quote
Crew Turrican Posted March 14, 2011 Crew Posted March 14, 2011 ok, i'll rename the categories later proberly. Quote
