G.SKILL Announces OC World Cup 2019 Live Qualifier and Grand Final Rules

 

 

Taipei, Taiwan (16 April 2019) – G.SKILL International Enterprise Co., Ltd., the world’s leading manufacturer of extreme performance memory and gaming peripherals, is announcing the rules and benchmarks for the G.SKILL 6th Annual OC World Cup 2019live contests. This live competition event will be held during Computex 2019 week, from May28th toMay31th, and consists of the Live Qualifier and Grand Final Stages.

 

 

 

New Format for OC World Cup Live Competition

Differing from previous years, G.SKILL is introducing a new format for both Live Qualifier and Grand Final stages this year. Contestants are only allowed to run the specified benchmarks within the designated time slots, which not only challenges the contestants’ overclocking skills, but also their time management skills.The following 4 benchmarks have been carefully selected for the Live Qualifier Stage to test the 9 semi-finalists’ memory tweaking knowledge:

·         Highest DDR4 Memory Frequency

·         HWBOT x265 Benchmark - 4k 6GHz

·         3DMark 11 Physics 6GHz

·         Geekbench 3 Memory Performance Single Core 6GHz

Grand Final Benchmarks

For the Grand Final Stage, top 3 finalists from the Live Qualifier Stage will compete with the following 5 benchmarks on May 31 :

·         Highest DDR4 Frequency with G.SKILL specified memory

·         1x Benchmark, chosen by G.SKILL

·         Contestant A’s choice

·         Contestant B’s choice

·         Contestant C’s choice

For the contestant’s choice benchmarks, it must be a valid 2D benchmark listed on HWBOT with fixed CPU frequency and approved by the OC World Cup 2019 event judges.

 

Competition Hardware

All OC World Cup 2019 contestants are limited to using G.SKILL DDR4 memory kits, Intel® Core™ processors, and Intel Z370/Z390 chipset motherboards for the benchmarks.

Champion: USD $10,000

2nd: USD $3,500

3rd: USD $2,500

4th: USD $2,000

5th: USD $1,800

6th: USD $1,600

7th: USD $1,400
