Massman Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 Gothrek: there are more than 1 2900 Pro cards sold in Russia ;-). Quote
Gothrek Posted September 27, 2008 Author Posted September 27, 2008 but isnt it strange the gpu clocks to the same exact frequencies? Quote
S_A_V Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 In fact Rossi lives in Togliatti and Demiurg in Chelyabinsk. There is about 900 kilometers between these cities. In Russia more cheap and faster way is to buy and sell the card in own city instead of sending it from another city, bench and then send back to owner. Quote
Massman Posted September 27, 2008 Posted September 27, 2008 but isnt it strange the gpu clocks to the same exact frequencies? Not really, people share bios files or maybe just a coïncidence. Quote
Hak Foo Posted September 28, 2008 Posted September 28, 2008 Even if they did pass around the same card, the celing of performance may vary because of differences ranging from "ambient temperature here is higher" to "my PSU produces worse voltage quality" to "I'm too chicken to water-cool"-- so it's still a test of the skill and configuration. In fact, it might be interesting to pass the SAME part around between a handful of elite OCers and see the differences in their results. Quote
