You have a stronger chip than I and maybe stronger mem - but you-re using the onboard controller?

Intels onboard is good but no match for an Areca 1880.

So, how much additional SB clock does it take to overtake the areca - this will be interesting! :)

hmm ... I may need to move to vista.

For the 980 - w7x64 was a little faster - that may not be true for SB. :)

Chip is almost tapped out, going to try another next week.

Using the supposedly defective sata2 controller on the board..

Surprised it hasn't died :)

Your defective controller seems to be holding fairly well I would say thats an excellent virus score youre getting!
