980x overclocking suggestion.

Featured Replies

Hello, I am not trying to go past 4GHz, I just want to know if my settings are all good and what I can do to stabilize even more the oc I currently have, I've ran P95 and Intel Burn Tester and it seems stable! I've ran all benchmarks and they all run without a problem, I've also gamed for 5+ hours and no problems, I just like to know if there's anything more that I can do to make this overclock better.

I currently have my v core at 1.26 and was wondering is that safe? Will I have any problems?

I'm currently running the Asetek Water Cooling, I have a Rampage III extreme and a 980x processor.

My CPU PLL is currently at 1.4 by the way, is there anything wrong with my settings? How can I get a performance gain by sticking to 4 GHz?

If your chip is good, 4GHz should be ok with less than 1.26vCore :)

CPU PLL can be higher without ANY negative effect... if it's as low as 1.4v, it might force you to use higher vCore.... I would choose lower vCore, higher CPU PLL if I could :)

What do you suggest I set my CPU PLL and vCore then to try to see if it's stable via P95, PLL is at 1.4 and vCore is at 1.26.
