I used task scheduler to make it so that "patch cml if no-ucode" ran every time I logged in, so I wouldn't have to start it manually after every reset. https://hwbot.org/submission/4552203 https://hwbot.org/submission/4552842 Score difference is pretty significant. ELEET X1 is available on the EVGA forums and product pages. EDIT: I believe this bios will have issues with auto vcore, beware. Not much I can do to fix it. Mr. Fox Posted September 21, 2020 Posted September 21, 2020 Thank you, sir. Going to give it a run on my new Z490 Dark K|INGP|N mobo. 1 Quote

SparkysAdventure Posted October 2, 2020 Author Posted October 2, 2020 Another new bios, this time with optimizations for dual rank. Performance is pretty nuts, even with mediocre mem and imc. Unmodded bios is on the EVGA forums. https://hwbot.org/submission/4566694_sparkys__adventure_geekbench3___multi_core_core_i9_10850k_51791_points 1.07+tool.7z Quote
SparkysAdventure Posted October 31, 2020 Author Posted October 31, 2020 Bios 1.06 is more efficient for benching than bios 1.07. Evidence: Bios 1.06 received_2288275947972635.webp Bios 1.07 received_353253845739500.webp I would recommend only using 1.07 for 2x16 right now. 1.08 modded is coming soon, need to do testing first. SparkysAdventure Posted November 3, 2020 Author Posted November 3, 2020 (edited) Swapped OS and got some really good results. I'll upload it here. Edited May 16 by SparkysAdventure Quote
SparkysAdventure Posted November 4, 2020 Author Posted November 4, 2020 Update again: 1.06 and 1.07, both with and without microcode. The difference with these from previous is: Hidden Items can now be made visible. Not entirely sure if it's relevant for benching, but it's definitely interesting to look around at. I'll be using them. 1265383025_Z490DarkBiosPackage.7z Quote

Sladen Posted November 11, 2020 Posted November 11, 2020 So what Bios is the Best now for gaming and stability? 1.06 1.07 or 1.08? Got 2x16gb dual rank B-Die and 10900k Got z490 dark Quote
SparkysAdventure Posted November 12, 2020 Author Posted November 12, 2020 I would say 1.07 or 1.08 Quote

Sladen Posted November 13, 2020 Posted November 13, 2020 (edited) Installed the z490 dark and it doesnt even train 4400 cl18 with 1,4 Sa 1,4 io and 1,5 vdimm? Bios freezes aswell with 1.07. I thought this board is good? Lol Now i know why there's dark and kingpin dark. I have multiple Kits here that I tested before and they can Do 4600. On z490 dark Not even 4500 trains. Not with Bios 1.07 and Not with 1.08. Board also doesnt detect my Soundcard in PCIE Slot lol.... Bios freezes all the time. What a waste of time again... Just rebuild everything with watercooling and now the board is trash. Maybe z490 kingpin is good, but the dark is 100% Not. Edited November 13, 2020 by Sladen 1 Quote

I know you'll need to download the newest CPU-Z and other stuff, maybe newest Benchmate too. Also, to work with ELEET X1, I think you'll have to download the Z490 Dark KP chipset drivers and stuff. It will probably work with other motherboard manufacturers. It *might* have unknown issues with dual rank? Needs more testing. I know it works just fine with single rank. 1 Quote

Mr. Fox Posted November 24, 2021 Posted November 24, 2021 (edited) Has anyone done anything with respect to a BIOS mod for the EVGA Z590 Dark? I had a difficult time getting Windows 7 installed. Finally did it using PS/2 and DVD rather than USB and have everything working now except for the M.2 ports. The NVMe SSDs in the PCIe 3.0 M.2 ports are not visible and I have code 10 issues on PCI Express Root Port #9 and #21, both of which correspond to the M.2 slots. If I disable the PCIe 3.0 M.2 ports in the BIOS, the PCI Express Root Port #9 and #21 are no longer resident in Device Manager. Edited November 24, 2021 by Mr. Fox Quote
eskoose Posted November 27, 2021 Posted November 27, 2021 Hey Sparky do you happen to have one for the EVGA Z490 Dark non-kingpin edition? I'd love to give them a try! Quote
