Kolian Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 (edited) Ticket ID: 199 Priority: Medium There are two Pentium 3 600 Coppermines s370 in CPU specs, I don\'t see any difference between them:\r\nhttp://www.hwbot.org/quickSearch.do?hardwareId=CPU_1009\r\nhttp://www.hwbot.org/quickSearch.do?hardwareId=CPU_1700 Edited January 17, 2009 by Kolian Quote
CaNNon Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Look in the socket column its "fcpga". each type can be a very different thing to overclock. Quote
Crew Turrican Posted January 6, 2009 Crew Posted January 6, 2009 yeah, the socket 370 p3 600s are easier to oc, than the slot1 counterparts. Quote
Oj0 Posted January 6, 2009 Posted January 6, 2009 Reminds me of the Celeron 300 which came in Slot 1/no cache, Slot 1/cache and Socket 370 Quote
Kolian Posted January 17, 2009 Author Posted January 17, 2009 (edited) Looks like nobody understands what I'm talking about. Please, tell me, what is the difference between fcpga and s370? FCPGA is S370! These two categories are for the same CPU - Pentium 3 600 (6*100) s370! (the first categorie - s370, the second - fcpga): Pentium 3 600Mhz s370 Coppermine 143 600 (802) 100 32/256 S370 Pentium 3 600Mhz Coppermine 10 600 (675) 100 32/256 fcpga I'm not talking about slot1! CaNNon Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 Your right kolian, but you should said there are 4 chips listed. It's easy to think 370 and slot 1 with out looking (and i didn't look ) Pentium 3 600Mhz <--------- coppermine Pentium 3 600Mhz Katmai Pentium 3 600Mhz s370 <---- coppermine Pentium 3 600Mhz Slot 1 These are the sockets, if it's any different it would need to be FC-PGA2. This has usually heat spreader on top something like the p4 chips but i think they started around 1ghz area. Pentium III Katmai in SECC2 package (450 - 600 MHz) Pentium III Coppermine in SECC2 package (500 - 1133 MHz) Pentium III Coppermine (FC-PGA and FC-PGA2) (500 MHz - 1133 MHz) http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=475956 http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=453388 looks like nothing more that a stepping/revision difference. Kolian Posted January 17, 2009 Author Posted January 17, 2009 There are also missing Pentiums 600 with 133MHz-FSB: http://processorfinder.intel.com/details.aspx?sSpec=SL3XT http://processorfinder.intel.com/details.aspx?sSpec=SL3JP Quote

RomanLV Posted January 17, 2009 Posted January 17, 2009 (edited) Fine! And now it is necessary to change categories, in conformity with specifications! (To remove unnecessary and to add lacking). ALL CATEGORIES!!! PS For those who don't know the specifications - the majority of processors can be found for example here - http://www.overclockers.com.ua/cpu/info/. And videocards and their specifications here - http://www.overclockers.com.ua/video/gpu/ . Edited January 17, 2009 by RomanLV Quote
