hokiealumnus
The last ASUS board we looked at was for AMD's new Bulldozer platform, the Crosshair V Formula. It is currently their top of the line AMD board, but it isn't top of the line like an "Extreme" ASUS board. Today we're looking at the Rampage IV Extreme, and let me tell you, top of the line may not be strong enough. ... Return to article to continue reading. Thought I'd share this here too. Warning - it's really, really long...this board just has a crazy number of features.

nazzgul
Consultation, the first PCI is not close to the chipset heatsink? Excellent work!!!
hokiealumnus
Thanks! Oh, it's close. Not close enough to prevent removing your GPU (unless you have larger fingers than I), but close nonetheless. The penalty for giving quad-GPU ability on a board that isn't extended vertically. Was there something specific you're looking for? I know Eldonko from HardwareCanucks had problems reaching it when using an air cooler. I only tested on water, so it wasn't a problem for me.
