SF3D Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 Here is short OC report about G.Skill CL7 2200MHz kit. Part number and specs are: G.Skill F3-17600CL7D-4GBPIS (DDR3 2200 7-10-10-10-28 1.65V) I used cheap ASUS P7P55D Pro motherboard for a reason and my i7 870 is the worst of it's kind. On this board, absolutely max bclk is 213MHz This issue was limiting my tests quite badly, when I tried to find the maximum stable clockspeeds. These following results should be easily repeatable in any setup, cause my system parts are so crappy. Setup: 2x2GB G.Skill F3-17600CL7D-4GBPIS (DDR3 2200 7-10-10-10-28 1.65V) ASUS P7P55D Pro Intel Core i7 870 Thermaltake 1200W TP ATI Radeon 4890 Noctua NH12 cooler Win vista 32-bit Few Pictures: Results: 6-9-6 @ 1000MHz ( 1.65V / 1.4Vtt) 6-9-6 @ 1045MHz (1.7V /1.4Vtt) 7-10-7 @ 1100MHz (1.65V / 1.4Vtt) 7-10-8 @ 1150MHz (1.7V / 1.4Vtt) 8-11-10 @ 1250MHz (1.74V / 1.4375V) After this CL 8 run my BCLK was getting too unstable. This CPU just can't do more on this board : Will need to try later on some more suitable mobo + CPU combo. Very easy memory kit from G.Skill  Special thanks to Frank! Quote
Dualist Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 Do you know if there will be a triple channel version.? Quote

SF3D Posted January 11, 2010 Author Posted January 11, 2010 Dualist- Maybe something similar will be released for X58. Triple channel clocking should be all the same as these. 71proste- Yes it is, enjoy! Quote
