Crew Vivi Posted July 9, 2012 Crew Share Posted July 9, 2012 So john did you gain clocks by using metal pad and no IHS?
Guest John Lam
a little , but good for 3D Benching.
Crew Vivi Posted July 9, 2012 Crew Share Posted July 9, 2012 niiiice makes sense yes. How about the liquid metal paste? or is the pad the way to go
Guest John Lam
I haven't tested the liquid metal paste , so I can't tell you which one is better. Copper = 401W/M.K Silver = 427W/M.K Sn = 67W/M.K Ivy Bridge using Thermal Compound between IHS and die , even the best Thermal Compound like GC-Extreme is 8.9W/M.K.
