Not on default settings??

Recommended Posts

I received the following e-mail notifying me that a result using my 3Dfx Voodoo 3 2000 on 22/06/10 had been checked by a moderator:

"Hello,

An hwbot crew member, Thor941, has been marked as 'checked by a moderator'.

You can view your result here:

Today I received other e-mail saying that "not ran at default settings because of hardware limitations". But the result is about a 3Dfx Voodoo 3 and has been moved to other section completely different(3DLabs Wildcat VP880 Pro???).

The result is true and realy is a Voodoo 3, but I can´t understand why it is now in other section that isn´t the right.

So all results using Voodoos 1/2/3/banshee/rush are going to trash?

And why was moved to a 3DLabs?? Its has never been another thing then a Voodoo...

Isn´t easy to create an observation on all results using Voodoos like this, that is in 16-bit mode? This is de default in all tests using Voodoos like this, so is obvious that any is in 16-bit.

a lot of results have been blocked a long time ago, but some people still submit there. mine also got blocked back then. ;)

it's in the right category.

it's not compareable to other card which use 32bit, i'm sorry.

but voodoo 4 and 5 are fine, they have 32bit support. ;)

Quite a questionable argument :)

Indeed, HWBot was developed as a tool for comparing a massive amount of results achieved by different people and hardware in several benchmarks.

But at the moment it's more often a tool for comparing achievements within on category (I mean h/w rankings, not global). And the cards can be compared within each other.

But this story is quite old and has been discussed more than once before. Nobody listened before nobody will now.

Adding these cards won't turn charts upside down. Even if so, they can be excluded from overall charts (but there's not many people using them though).
