Apologies.
Are you asking 900 euros for the z690 kingpin ?
Used !
Cool. Good luck.

May I see some pictures of the Z690 Kingpin ?
First dibs on the board and Hynix ram.
Thank you.

13900K retail, boxed.

Well then, I will skip entirely this generation.
Melting connectors, weird behavior when overclocking.
Let's see what AMD has to offer.

Is there any update on this very serious issue ?
A good RTX 4090 costs approximately 2500 Euros in Europe.
A very significant amount of money to invest in a hobby, and then find yourself in front of nasty surprises.
Thanks.

Gaming cards yes, not benchmarking OC cards so I guess we are in a hybrid category
When you are OCing memory +2000 mhz offset there is bound to be issues right? Why would NV leave that much on the table unless there was possible implications they already anticipated.
Why dont you ask Nvidia ?

There was no real exclusive info, just a heads up by some tier 1 OCers this could become problematic, similar to what happened with the AMD 69xx series
We talked about a possible fix from HWBot side , but there was no secure alternative besides UL adjusting ECC detection or imposing maybe an algorithm checking clocks versus output... so we had to wait and do the moderating manually on our side and also by UL on the Hall of Fame...
Also people move on, forums are less attractive, especially on a smartphone, Discord is a amazing alternative , quick & versatile... same with reviews, articles are hardly read anymore, people watch videos...
I have tried many times to join discord channel.
No success. I get that either I must be invited or register, but there is no option to register.
Tasos hit a nail that is bothering me for quite some time.
If forums slim down and move to discord, then slim down HWBOT and create an HWBOT PRO for only tier 1 overclockers.
A group of 100 max members ( F1 drivers with their exclusive category ) - correct, needing correctly their paddocks, sponsors, advisors, space to function as they must
and all the rest.
The issue that arises, and became evident by this thread, is that not imaginable situations may arise for the "rest", and most probably unintentionally.
So, there is a situation, where anything happening at the very top either never reaches the crowd or by coincidence only.
This is plain wrong.
We do not want to have the same priviledges of F1, but at least info should be widely available.

Since when two negatives are equal to one positive ?
A deffective Nvidia design AND imposing ECC, is equal to normal operation.
How nice. 99% of members use air or water to cool their cards.
ALL will suffer the consequences.
Keep it up folks.
Hundreds have quit in the last 2 years.
It is the 1% that is important and obviously in command.
-
Wrong decision. Dead wrong.
I was thinking to buy an RTX 4090.
Nope.
ECC enabled ?
This means shared memory.
This is useful when the card operates on workstations for computing.
Not 3d benching.
Shame, shame and shame again.
Big elephants indeed exist in HWBOT members.
Why do we all have to suffer in order to kill the big elephants ?

I dont know if your posts are about something or someone in particular.
But i will speak in general.
Since you know/find out some very specific issues about this RTX 4xxx series , why not make an article about it ?
This stuff is new and many people would like to overclock it up to the edge of stability.
They probably wont have a clue if their big score is bugged (except if the result/run is too obvious , like in 2k3).
Are we having something similar like the 3DMark Vantage era ?
Give them a heads up
Dont assume that everyone is acting with bad intention
For me, being a simple member, that has never benched any vga under cold, the post of Tasos is the most reasonable in my eyes.
From what I read ( assuming I understood correctly ), HWBOT ( and maybe UL ? ) will require even more verifications to judge if a run is legit or not.
OK, whatever you say.
Just jeep in mind that 99% of members come here to spend some hours and have some fun.

Maybe right George.
Wonder what the rest will do now .
Remains to be seen Paul.
What I have to add as a general remark from my 30 years of deep experience in the financial sector.
1) When cows are fat and markets run ( demand a lot higher than offer ), you maximize profits.
2) When markets shrink ( demand drops a lot below offer ), those that have the power gain market share waiting for the next up cycle.

You all are looking at the small picture and not the real big screen.
Nvidia has been cornering the Vga market for years now,
Nvidia has treated all AIB partners as trash.
Nvidia believes that they can be simultaneously : manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers ( competing AIB who are their wholesale customers ).
My take ?
Nvidia is looking to take over longterm the retail market themselves moving AIB partners out.
It is a common scenario that I have seen multiple times with much bigger companies, especially when margins drop.
That is the big screen gentlemen.
UNFORTUNATELY

I am 12 years here.
I remember one by one the folks that made subs for WR points.
They did not even own the workstations and servers that they "benched".
As soon as WR points were removed from the equation, they disappeared from HWBOT.
-
Is a Threadripper pro worth 7000$++, +board + mems = 10K +++ a desktop platform ?
If yes, I pass
-
I am strongly against it.
Monster workstations and servers getting easy points.
Points that depend on money, not skill.
Can't we leave the damn platform steady and unchanged ?
Unless there are reasons beyond the obvious.

Folks, the best ever 6700k was resourced by Alex@ro and bought by me.
It was at the time of release of 7700k.
That cpu, non delidded did 5.2ghz with 1.325v on impact.
Took it up to 5.8ghz on Dice cbr15.
No delid.
Sold ages ago for a fraction of what I had paid.

George , I just want to overclock and put scores up without arguments or threats .
I respect EVERYONE here .
I am trying my best.
I love this hobby we have .
Even though I am a " shitty clocker" , I will still try my best .
Facts have indicated the opposite.
But I will be most happy, if you finally understand, that we all come here in an amicable way to spend some time and forget the real and huge problems of our real lives.
Expecially during the last six months and I am afraid we are just looking at the tip of the iceberg.
I will be the first to congratulate you if I understand a U-turn to the right direction.
Stay cool ( and humble )

Respect.
One of the biggest values in life a decent human being should have.
Once lost, it is like broken glass. It does not come back, whatever you do.
