  1. 3DMark03, 05 and 06 all were released with score (+ subtest) visible from the start. Later, they patched those three benchmarks and the score was no longer visible without using an advanced key. Vantage was released with the score hidden from the start, but the score (+ subtest) were visible once you used an advanced key.

It's pretty much the same as with 3DMark11, only now we don't even get to see the subtest scores.

Ahh... That makes sense. I guess it's good that I have keys for all of my Futuremark products.

Now all they need to do is step up their game and make 3DMark 11 worth having.

What's up with the awkward area next to the CPU/GPU used on the score window? Oh... it's where they removed the subscores from...

  2. Just because I haven't been in the game for long, I have a question. Many of you mention Vantage and '06. Were these same issues there at launch for those? Does Futuremark listen to what we want?

Like I said earlier, it seems to be deliberate to funnel users through their web site so they gain ad revenue.

  3. The money issue isn't the one that gets me. I pre-ordered this thing the day they opened up for pre-orders.

    It's the damn results window...

The UI has plenty of room to display the detailed results. Every single Futuremark bench before now has had it so this had to have been a conscious decision, which is why it pisses me off.

Futuremark wants to funnel everyone through their site even if it is at the customers' expense.

  4. That logic is circular: we shouldn't do something new because it hasn't been done in the past.

    lol indeed.

Think it should not be added untill FM gives a subtestwindow.

Also it should be possible to save a file and submit from any other rig you want.

    SS alone is worthless.

    Agreed!

  5. Perhaps it's time for the OC community to put their foot down ...

I'm all for it. 3DMark 11 is cool... but there are definitely some things that should be fixed.

Which begs the question, why is it so hard for Futuremark System Info to get clocks? I'm not sure I've ever seen correct clocks through that. It's not like GPU-Z or CPU-Z have any trouble...

  6. Great, Thanks bassplayer.

The whole online submission is a PITA. Tried to submit on my laptop, but program stops as you need a DX11 card. Then submitted on-line with bench rig and forgot to turn automatic windows update off #@#%! Updates got installed and now system hangs at windows screen....just another thing to fix....

Yeah. I'm upset because I purchased the Advanced Version but I still have to go online to see my subscores.

  7. Its good, seems short to me lol

Physics and combined doesnt stress cpu very much. 4.7ghz passed easy on air cooled 980x

Perhaps we should talk about SS rules for this? with no subtest details will valid links be mandatory? SS of the main score is kinda useless imo.

I mentioned this in a new thread in this section but apparently I'm not allowed to talk about it, as someone deleted it...
