  1. Thanks folks! We're getting there!!

The reservation process is now live! Please make your reservations asap as the final cut-off date is almost here. You can reserve a room either via phone (888-575-6397 Computer Overclocking Party) or on-line at https://aws.passkey.com/e/49250254

Please be sure to let me know (here or via pm) once you've reserved your room.

Also...all attendees should provide your sizes on the Corsair spreadsheet. I've sent the url to most of you already but if you don't have it, let me know. Everyone should provide their sizes by this Friday.

Thanks again to all of you! We've already surpassed last year's sign-ups (including a couple new to the scene folks woohoo!). Can't wait to see you all there.

@steponz - Is this what you were referring to or do you still need people to reach out to you?

  2. I am planning on attending, I believe I'll be driving to Filmbots area and driving from there with him. If this falls through for some reason I'll look for last minute flight deals and/or just go to General Mitchell Intl airport and wait for an el cheapo flight . I'm planning on meeting up with SI at some point as well. We are going to split a room or stay with friends somewhat near the venue. Not sure what Filmbot has in mind but is obviously welcome to join us as the "lodging" part of this trip is of minor concern, don't really care where we stay, how many people join us etc. #1 priority is OC and the rest we can figure out as we go, last resort is camp somewhere or just stay in SI's vehicle :)

I'm good to go and have had the days called off of work for awhile. Since we'll be driving, I'll bring all relevant extra hardware I can to help.

Also, I haven't booked room yet either but I'm fine with sharing rooms or doing anything else to save a few bucks :D Basically whatever will be the easiest and most efficient for the group, I'm in for.

  3. Has anyone tried to reserve a room? The process is still catching up, the Marriott contact just emailed me to advise that it may be 1-2 business days until we're set up to reserve.

My plan is book on Friday after payday. I will also try to get an inventory of everything I plan on bringing together this weekend. If anyone has anything they don't have but would maybe like to bench, post and if I have it, I'll bring it out.

  4. We are on! Will update post#1 tonight but here's the info:

    Dates: July 14, 15, 16

    Where: Marriott Courtyard Philadelphia Downtown

Check-in will start Thursday afternoon. Benching will run from Friday morning through Sunday afternoon. We need to vacate the room by 5pm Sunday.

Am getting 10 rooms blocked for us. Waiting for the paperwork to catch up and will post the code as soon as I have it.

Would like to get the confirmed attendee list updated asap so please let me know if you'll be making it to the party.

Thanks to all for the patience!

    - Stefan

PS- Will issue refunds in the coming days for those that already paypaled their cash.

Does this mean Corsair is sponsoring? So only costs we need to be concerned with is travel, food, room etc?

  5. Let me know if you want a passenger to help chip in for fuel, I'd be happy to drive to your neck of the woods and roll with you from there !

Hey Jason, sorry I didn't see this. I already have time off for the 14th but can get it moved if need be for another weekend. My plan now is to leave the Friday morning before and spend that day driving since it's around 10hours from my place.

If you haven't already booked flights or other arrangements, let me know and we can finalize everything once the date is finalized.

  6. Trying to install Catalyst driver 13.9 on Apex for 3870 X2, OS is W7 x64 SP1.

Updated BIOS to newest for the board, installed all Windows updates, changed PCIEx speed to 2.0 and still as soon as the driver starts to initialize, BSOD with ACPI error.

Anyone have any ideas on this? Been driving me insane for a couple weeks now  Happens with some Nvidia cards as well but don't have problems installing older cards

  7. Ok Here goes timings versus fabric single rank and dual rank.

    Single rank 2933

    Single rank 3200

    IMG

    Dual Rank 2666

    IMG

    Dual rank 2933

    IMG

    Conclusion

Single rank speed + fabric wins ( we pretty much knew this )

    Dual rank Application specific tossup.

    cheers

What are you meaning by "fabric"?
