CPU-Z is not showing the right frequency, reported

Fixed the 23/26 POST codes, was related to wrong CBB voltages. Does anyone else have issues setting maxmem with B-die? I'm on BIOS 1102 and I've tried lots of different maxmem settings on different O.S.es (Server 2012, Win 7, Win 10) and none of them work.

... and you think I won't get a 2600x? ;)

Should Kaby-X / Sky-X go in here or are they better off in another thread? Haswell-E and Broadwell-E got separate categories.

Hence the winky face ;)

Hi,
Every colour of non-mini OBT has been out of stock for months now. Is there any ETA on new stock?

yeh fair enough, it is a completely different architecture and the load could be significantly different.
I take it you've tried different OS and so forth.
Yeah Server 2012 clocks a bit higher than Win 7 but can't use it for CB because Win 8+ is banned on Ryzen because of the BCLK bug. Cinebench does best High + dragged offscreen, realtime is hit and miss scoring-wise and usually just more unstable.

What do 23 an 26 POST codes mean? I assume CBB since I'm on Kaby-X fullpot but I'd just like to confirm. Reseating the RAM module, pulling power and retying eventually fixed this.

If you can do x265 you should be able to do R15 at the same clocks. At least for intel anyway.
Are you busting paste or something? Can you crack paste on AMD?
I also feel like you over tighten the crap out of your pots man. have you tried a looser mount?3 hours ago, GeorgeStorm said:I would say you can do R15 higher than x265
Don't worry, I've changed my pot tightening routine I've never heard of cracked paste on AMD and I would know about it if it happened because I put a probe directly in the socket.
Can't compare x265 on Intel to x265 on AMD. It runs wayyy lighter whereas CB runs as heavy (if not heavier?) on AMD. Must be related to AVX.

I struggle with CB11. 5/15 getting too hot, so my scores are at less than 5.3 Ghz. Chip is good for lighter benches. Any tips for Cinebench appreciated :)

You're good, 2.1 and 2.2 are both allowed: http://hwbot.org/news/12505_application_175_rules/

We don't have any other 7.1 Ghz CL17 scores to compare it to 10 seconds seems like a small difference for CL12 -> CL17.

Not only strong memory... Biggest issue here is the OS
3 hours ago, GeorgeStorm said:Well yes the OS hurts it as well, but running 2000 12-11 would still give a decent improvement no?
Ehh guys there is no XP for Maximus X Apex and may never be. Didn't you see Rsannino's score? He would be running XP if it was possible.

Great score! What are the tubes for, chipset on water?

Slowest 7 Ghz + SP32M run ever... sandbagging? :P

Flipping the board on and off didn't bring any joy ?
I think there is a sort flashback option on the board. Maybe try to reflash the bios.
And if you need a new bios chip. There is a guy in Germany who sells bios chips. Bought a R5E bios chip from some time ago. But it would probably be easier to find one in Australia ;-)
I turned off the board, removed the power cables, cleared CMOS briefly - then overnight. All of this didn't help, I still get 00 on both BIOSes. I will look into the flashback option, thx.

Sooo close to 3000 mhz :O

That combination of CPU and RAM is just absolutely sick. Both top 0.01%?
-
Will ASROCK send me a BIOS chip if I ask them? I think I may have screwed both BIOSes, I just get 00 now since I flipped the switch while it was running

It's Win 7, the hard disk desktop icons are the giveaway. If it really is XP, someone should publish the BIOS
