    Buddy I dont think we ever had an issue before and it caught me by surprise that you didnt reach via pm/fb for such request (on the other hand I informed zwitterion hours before this thread and even linked him so he could speak for himself).

     

    So, indeed I said that some of the USBs werent functioning properly and thats why we had been using USB bracket (which I included) since we saw the issue. About PS/2 wasn't aware as I told you that we have been using a K70 for almost 2 years now.

     

    Afterwards, you said its like that and that you would bench it anyway with the bracket without raising any questions or request for help for the specific matter (only asked for suggestions re OS/efficiency) .

    Since then (2 months ago since you received, changed insulation and starting benching it) you benched it with different cpus/gpus and multiple sessions.

     

    Now you mentioned partial refund (since you failed to sell it according to hwbot sale thread) after you benched what you had to bench which for me its kinda... not cool. :)

     

    You got a motherboard with a bracket to deal with USB issue as agreed beforehand, if PS/2 is the problem I can get you a USB to PS2 adapter but I doubt you will bench it again.

     

    Maybe I should have said,could I get a partial refund If I've indicated this problem earlier?

     

    Yep you mentioned " some " usbs not working properly, ( In my readings its still not equal as all back usb ports are dead ) and on ps2 you were not aware.

    I "failed" to sell it because:

    its not worth 150 euros in this condition

    I wont give it away for ridicoulos 40 euros

    its got 40% off on some sites...

     

    But yeah I failed.

     

    In this way you failed to advertise your stuff correctly as the soc force ln2 has problems too ( on which you wasnt aware too ) and which werent adressed too.

     

    but its ok for me,I dont want money back,just asked,seeing your thread about an ( I guess ) similar problem ;)

    Since you didnt ask for something similar 2 months ago when you got the mobo and started benching it (you got it for 150€ and you were aware that it was insulated, that some of the usbs werent functional and thats why we added usb bracket thus the price) I dont think this makes sense (you ran what you had to run and now you either try to sell it or decrease the already low price you paid for it).

     

    Maybe I can ship you a usb to ps2 adapter since I didnt know ps2 wasnt functional :)

     

    Yeah I know It was just a question came to my mind.

    some usbs were not functioning properly that was the statement,not that all back usbs + ps2 is dead...

    nevermind I will kill it.

    So just to update and close the topic.

     

    CPU is degraded, after 2x stock IHS, 1x bartx' IHS and 1x fully lapped one it did 6.70 R15 and 6730~ r11.5.

     

    Zwitterion did a partial refund (150€).

     

    Thats pretty much it.

     

    Nice outcome :)

     

    So can I get a partial refund from you too? After the advertised soc boards not working as it should ? Or just leave it there as we did till? ;)

    for sale is this bad boy. 5.0 rev which means its base is copper,not nickel plated and there is no kingpincooling carving either.

    with all the mounting hardware it came with,plus a K-type probe and a splash of grizzly on it for free :D

    If I understand it right, the scores is based on the delta(difference) between the 'XTU target' and your score, the smaller the difference the higher position you get.

    Of course, there will be same scores from all other overclocker, so you have to submit first or you lose ranking (since if there's same score, the one getting most points is the one who submit it earlier).

     

    So in principle, you wanted to score really close with target and submit it really fast when the stage is opened.

     

    well yes i understand the same way but it is not so good...

    or my method with z170x soc force.

    1. start flashing some bios then shutdown rig during update.

    2. use fat32 usb2.0 usb key with wanted bios file renamed to GIGABYTE.bin,then insert it into usb flashback port ( dont know if z270 soc has one )

    3. press and hold bios flashback button until board finds and starts to reflash the ROM.

    4. bios switches should be in single bios mode or the board will start to reflash from,or simply change to backup bios chip.
