Damnit! lol. Awesome job dude. Truly epic!
I might have answer for this later this week...
-
Very nice. Glad it still lives
-
Any idea what the batch code was?
-

These newer chips suck. Didn't like high NB speeds as far as I can tell and I was keeping ram low to try to figure out why it was crashing. Didn't get enough time to tweak it more due to time constraints.
-
don't expect anything amazing, my efficiency is horrible compared to you guys.
-
Overvolting supported by MSI Afterburner = MSI: "we doesn't support overclocking"
^true story, had a rep tell me that
-
Did you test each core?
-
Bored at work, so I'm entertaining myself with this. Been looking as this for some time now, and with the two new results coming in today I thought I'd bring this up and see if a discussion is worthwhile.
Maybe I'm looking for something that isn't there, but there seems to be a connection to ram freq with max freq on these chips. All the really high chips have 900mhz+ while the lower ones have ~700mhz (save for a few outliers). Granted this analysis doesn't take into OC methods (did they use PScheck, just boot with high multi and up HTT, ect). Considering I saw 1000mhz difference in some of my cores, this might be a mute point if everyone didn't test each core individually.
I duno, I'm bored
-
Backup activated!
Damn nice freq there.
-
CPUz is reporting it wrong, but it is validating it. FSB is 266. Or am I the only one that sees a QX9650 @ 5ghz with 1.2v incredible unrealistic , and on a 4coredual-sata2 of all boards.
I guess no one seems to care, so I will keep doing what I'm doing.
-
It'd not the board (CHV). Except for the 8150, which I sold right away, all chips experienced similar behavior on 4 other boards (CHIV, CHIII, 790X-UD4P, and M2RSH). While each of those boards have been run all the way cold with no issues.
-
My CPU has a cold-boot bug at -110 and CB @ -120, and I don't have a torch. Needs HT-Link at ~1000 and weak drive strengths to boot full pot. I know it is IMC related, CPU LED stuck @ under -130, -130 to -110 DRAM LED.
What a PITA this has turned out to be, already wasted 1/3 my LN2...
I have an 8150, 1090T, 1055T, and two 555BE's that do that
-
Nice. I don't think I will be able to beat that
-
So I'm benching my AGP cards, and cpuz reads this: http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=2408148 despite the fact that the fsb is 266.
Is this going to be a problem? or should I spend time figuring it out
-
-
Definitely could be beaten to death. Hard to tell when buying used
-
Wooo, graduation parties rock. Except when they interrupt benching
-
Hmm, thats a shame.
Are you going to retest with Hypers?
I have a solid 955 and a dewar on the way.
Going to rerun with these http://hwbot.org/submission/2222644_just_nuke_em_wprime_32m_phenom_ii_x4_955_be_6sec_62ms Can't wait to have more competition
I duno. I don't claim to be a ram tweaking expert at all thoughEven my worst hypers (Adata XPG+ 1866C8) do 800 6-6-6 with ~1.7V. Are there really hypers that can't do that? -
800 6-7-7 is within the range of multiple ICs, even PSC ... if these are indeed Perfect Storm, 0640 in SN = BBSE, 0690 = Hypers
They are F3-16000CL8T SN# 9500690091918, so I guess they are hypers. Not very good ones imho.
-
Everyone keeps telling me they are hypers, but my good hypers will do 6-6-5 @ 1800 and these won't, so I duno...
-
AMD will outperform them soon with IWU (Integrated Wheel Unit)
-
Oh, it has an antenna. You just have to look harder for it

CPU-Z 1.61 is out! Bugs, feedbacks go in here
in Benchmark software

Rasparthe said it was likely due to the board not supporting the chip, but I think this is related to the bug also...
