[BUGS] Let us know if you experience issues!
If someone managed to make it work on Sandy Bridge... Do you have a Z77 motherboard? Maybe it needs the updated ME firmware, which have been introduced in series 7 motherboards. It works on my core i5 3317U but not on 2600k+p67 and neither on my sandy bridge macbook pro. Intel XTU tool was officially supported only after by z77 chipsets.

AMD FX WinRAR monster? - No way!
Hi guys. Thanks to this thread we are gone a little bit more in depth to Core Parking: http://www.xtremehardware.it/eng-reviews/eng-reviews/core-parking-on-windows-seven-winrar-performance-with-sandy-bridge--201111226092/ We measured also power consumption under load and we have seen no changes at all with core parking enabled or disabled under load (WinRAR) This will proabably mean that leaving Core parking enabled could lead to higher power consumption under winrar because the system take several more time to compress the file (while the consumption does not change at all). Maybe this is because HT is an almost virtual feature and the real core is still enabled and working.

AMD FX WinRAR monster? - No way!
We would confirm your findings, OBR. We also noticed that the application is affected too, not only the WinRAR benchmark. Compressing an ISO with high compression settings, the CPU load jumped from about 30% to over 50%. http://translate.google.it/translate?hl=it&sl=auto&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.xtremehardware.it%2Fnews%2Fhardware%2Fobr-sveglia-i-core-dormienti-in-sandy-bridge-e-rivela-le-reali-prestazioni-in-winrar-201111206080%2F Nice job!! Thank you for sharing.
