Known Possible Issues XTU unable to read out correct MNTR MNTR is not applied when downloading a profile When using different applications, XTU cannot read the settings correctly XTU cannot read out X/Y/Z overclocking setting 1. XTU unable to read out correct MNTR Because of the technical limitations of XTU described in the technical info thread. What it boils down to is that XTU is reading the MNTR from CPU MSR 194h and not all mainboard vendors are updating that register. Usually, if the register is unused it will be programmed to FF00 and XTU will read the MNTR as 35x. In order to correctly read out the MNTR and therefore support benchmark submissions w…

Intel has recently stopped hosting older versions so I'm looking to put together a library with links and notes on compatibility for older versions. Please share what you have downloaded now and if you have any experience with it working or not working with certain platforms, please share. No code has to be inserted here. Note: Only versions 5.1.2 and newer can be used to upload scores to HWBot. Anything older should only be used for personal testing and will be blocked if used to make a submission for points. See HWBot News here for more information.

Hello, Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't XTU only compatible with the last 3 generations of Intel cpus ? That is : 6.4.x supports Coffee, Kaby and Skylake 6.3.x supports Kaby, Skylake and Broadwell 6.2.x supports Skylake, Broadwell and Haswell 6.1.x supports Broadwell, Haswell and Ivy Bridge 5.2.x supports Haswell, Ivy Bridge and Sandy Bridge? (older versions of XTU are not allowed for posting scores) Will the upcoming mandatory use of 6.4.1.12 (Upcoming Rule Changes on November 1, 2017) is also limit benching on cpus compatible with Z170/270/370 chipsets? If so, any prospects to make 6.4.x backward compatible with anything from Gen2 onwards? Chee…

Added: "How can I save my score to upload later?" Saving a benchmark result to upload later is quite simple: Run the benchmark Click on Save in the lower right corner (image) Enter a name for your saved profile/score (image) Go to the Profile tab and click on the saved score (image) Click on Export Profile and save the profile/score on a local disk (image) Go to the HWBOT website to upload the score manually (image) Step1 Step2 Step3 Step4 Step5

QUESTION INDEX Will using this software void my warranty? Will this work on my system? This software doesn’t work, it is broken! Is there a list of supported configurations? I downloaded a profile and it didn’t work, what now? Can I use this software without internet connection? I like this software so much, how can I donate? What does the score mean? I just flashed the BIOS and XTU does not read out the values anymore! How can I save my score to upload later? QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS Will using this software void my warranty? The standard warranty agreement does not change – Intel does not warrant overclocking. HWBOT is a community sit…

http://hwbot.org/news/9607_hwbot_integrates_intel_extreme_tuning_utility_xtu_%E2%80%93_opportunity_to_grow_the_oc_community Technical restrictions As you can read in the above paragraph, the biggest problem of developing a unified overclocking application which interacts with the bios code requires full support from mainboard vendors. The also goes for XTU. The software faces a couple of important hardware restrictions that could potentially limit the functionality. These are the different levels of XTU support: Run Benchmark and Stress Tools Report hardware information OverclockingOverclock CPU (realtime) Overclock GPU (realtime) Overclock memory (with reb…

Hey everyone! I downloaded Intel XTU from Intel, but it crashes at the splash screen. Now Intel does not list i5 6300u as a supported chipset on the XTU download page. I guess the latest version doesn't support it anymore. Does anyone here have a aworking XTU setup? Can you send it to me? I'd really love to undervolt this old device and get some more life out of it.

Hi everyone, I'm unable to access the XTU utility. It hangs on a white screen, and there is 0% CPU/RAM usage for the process in Task Manager. I’m using an i9-9900KF with Windows 10. I have tried uninstalling the software and ensured that I selected the option to remove any previous profiles, but that has not resolved the issue. I have also restarted my computer multiple times and checked for any software conflicts, but nothing seems to work to solve this white blank screen issue. Has anyone experienced this problem or have any suggestions for getting XTU to launch properly? whitescreen

Hej there, since I use a Intel 10th Generation Core i9 10900K for overclocking, I cannot upload any XTU Profile, cause HWBot told me, I'm using an Engineering Sample CPU. I have checked everything with Intel Processor diagnostic Tool and Intel Processor Identification Utility an both say, everthing is fine and it is a regular Intel CPU and NOT an Engineering sample. All tested pasts correctly. How is this possible? Cheers UbuRoy TESTRESULTS.TXT ProcessorID_20210424_132952.txt

lo all, I did some testing yesterday to confirm the findings regarding XTU as there are way too many bugged outputs on the Bot. I tested a dozen of versions yesterday with the 9700K on H20 and Cascade on Windows 10 Findings: XTU performance is very inconsistent. Scoring 2900 one run, a rerun goes up to 3150. XTU performance output is too depending on the installed versions, as we already knew the 64Bit version 6.5.1.321 is easily outperforming any older versions. Till now no way to seperate them, Intel is working on it, but we loose too much time as 10K subs chime in weekly... The mix of 32 and 64 OS version requirements doesn't make thing…

Seems Intel has a new 64 bit release out of the blue that seriously improves the output, However these new scores will not be compatible/comparable with exisiting ones. My preference would be to go for a seperate ranking with XTU 64bit versions only. Keep you posted what gives with the developpers

Now that XTU will have its global points removed soon, I am officially publishing my findings on this benchmark. I tried to give full insight on how to disect and uncover the security issues of XTU but also some tweaks and the possiblity to run the inner benchmark executable on its own for quick performance testing and points calculation. https://www.overclockers.at/articles/intels-xtu-analyzed This is not some kind of personal vendetta against Intel; far from it. The article's purpose is purely educational to raise awareness for benchmark security and timer reliability. This is not only about cheating, it's about the credibility of benchmarks and result da…

after I run the benchmark. I select the compare results button. It takes me to the graph page but give error. Not enough results to show graph, submit more results. I have over 10 subbed results. Is anyone else seeing this? It does tell me on the right that my system is preforming good or excellent. It use to show me the graph. I’ve tried the latest versions and have rolled back to older versions. No matter what I try I get no graph results. I am logged in to HWBOT when results are submitted.

Hi ranking looks fine but the scores changes abruptly on my subs and a teamate sub for 2600K XTU. http://hwbot.org/submission/3785884_peaches182_xtu_core_i7_2600k_994_marks http://hwbot.org/benchmark/xtu/rankings?hardwareTypeId=processor_2277&cores=4#start=60#interval=20 http://hwbot.org/submission/3786051_bolc_xtu_core_i7_2600k_1037_marks http://hwbot.org/benchmark/xtu/rankings?hardwareTypeId=processor_2277&cores=4#start=40#interval=20 or perhaps, all other scores are incorrect?

Hi Guys Just looking for some info and would be much appreciated. - I was running XTU, 7700k 63,54 4133 1.825v -170 + and XTU seems to show Current limit throttle! - I could run at 62 53 with no sign of current limit with same v core even with 1.775 - I understand that there is a current limit of 255.55 and is easy to work the math's out but seeing as there is far better results than my 2149 I have to sub -I'm I right that this just pure efficiency of the cpu or am I being a nooob 6mths in or is there something I have forgotten in bios 0401 as shipped Thanks
