  1. Hi there guys, I've got two NF3 250gb boards here which need the caps changing on them. Since they need to be changed, I though that maybe putting solid caps on them might help a little tiny bit as it should reduce the ripple going to the cpu. The caps that need changing are : 6 x 6.3v 3300 uF 4 x 16v 1500 uF 1 x 10v 1000 uF I've found the following caps and where wondering if they would be any good for the board. 6.3V 1500 uF 16V 1000 uF 10V 470 uF They are all solid caps, I've already bought them so one way or another I guess I'll find out soon enough. But if anyone could tell me why they wouldn't work then I suppose it would save me about an hours worth of work Cheers guys!
  2. Is it possible to have my forum name changed to ObscureParadox like my HWBot account name??? If it's not possible then it doesn't matter. Cheers anyway.
  3. Use XP for the old cards and benchmarks mate, your loosing a lot of points here with the wrong OS and drivers. You should be in the sort of 170K range with your setup. Try windows xp and the 8.12 drivers with this card
  4. You have a better result here : http://hwbot.org/submission/2327030_sastb_unigine_heaven___basic_preset_(dx9)_3x_radeon_hd_7970_6255.82_dx9_marks
  5. What driver are you using?? Might be best to try an older driver like 12.3 or 12.4 and then up the clocks on the 7970. You should be able to break 1.3Ghz on a very low stress benchmark lke this
  6. Awesome rig mate, just make sure you use the GPU-Z utility instead of CPU-Z to show the GFX card. CPU-Z is still needed for the CPU speed though. Also turn energy saving features off to get a much better score.
  7. XP needed for the card tbh mate. Can't you put the old hard drive in this PC to save trouble??
  8. That's a very nice GPU mate, could get you over 13K under the right conditions. Do you plan on taking your i7 to the aria meet to put under LN2???
  9. running on two cores and with the ram up to 1600 in dual channel will help a lot with your scores. Running on two cores will help with temps and therefore clocks, you just need to find the two fastest cores, get one to do the windows stuff and the other to do the benchmark
