  1. Here is the VGA list for which HWBOT can freely share ABX.

    NVIDIA

    - N260GTX Lightning

    - N275GTX Lightning

    - N460GTX Hawk

    - N480GTX Lightning

    - N560GTX-Ti Hawk

    - N580GTX Lightning

    - N660GTX Hawk

    - N680GTX Lightning

    AMD:

    - R5770 Hawk

    - R5870 Lightning

    - R6870 Hawk

    - R6970 Lightning

    - R7870 Hawk

    - R7970 Lightning

I don't know which version belong to which card and I think it will be pretty hard to ask to VGA dept. (English > Chinese communication can be hard sometimes) but we might have a better solution incoming... :)

EDIT: @Massman Patricia is not there this week-end :celebration:

  2. Guys sorry, I didn't forgot about this or the ABX requests received in MP but the contact windows for ABX were absent last week.

They just replied to me this morning that they will push developer for ABX requests.

Concerning sharing afterburner for the EOL cards they will discuss it internally and get back to me asap, but with Computex it might take some time, everyone is crazy busy here. :(

  3. Wow, the stipulations for getting this is by far the stupidiest thing ive read on these forums.

Thought benching was meant to be encouraged here, not restricted.

Why would i bother benching sub zero if i couldnt increase volts, pointless exercise really and just a waste of ln2.

Fairly certain im old enough to decide whether or not i want to overvolt my gpu, cpu or memory.

Since others have already answered for me, I'll just quote this:

No one is saying you have to bench lighting cards

Just bench a 5870 ref and use abx1.5 xtrem can set 1.6v and abx 1.5 can be found easy with Google

    This:

I think the point is for MSI to cover their own backside and to make sure that the people who have access to the software know what they're doing and are not some randomer who's just discovered OC and wants to see how far he can get by pushing 1.8 volts through his new shiny 290x lightning and quickly brick it.

I don't see the issue in just asking politely and waiting for a reply.

    And this:

I think it also has to do something with AMD or Nvidia because they don't officially support overvoltage. If they don't make it publicly available, it might be less of a problem to them.

Sorry if you feel the rules are discouraging, they are not meant to be. It's never perfect, but at least MSI try to offer something.

Sure, if it was allowed we would just bundle the software with our cards... :)

  4. It's a big progress, now easy procedure of distribution (clarified rules), handled by good overclocker who knows the needs of OC Community. Good for everyone. Some fellow overclockers know how hard it was to get ABX unless you were really close to MSI HQ.

To be objective there might be few problems in cases like if you buy 2nd hand GPU for instance without backplate (so no S/N) and so on, but if it's EOL model and no more warranty I am sure it won't be an issue anymore.

Thanks for the kind words Michal!

If you don't have S/N sticker, then RMA would be rejected anyway, so no problem ;)

EDIT: If you don't meet the requirements, no need to send me PM. There won't be any exception. :)

  5. Lol one part of the chip for Belgium and the other for France :D

    @Bill: maybe...

@Alby: loool! No hate. Let's wait what they'll tell for their defence.

Are we in law court ? Are you judge now ?

It's obvious that it's the same CPU (It's MINE, bought with MY money in Paris at http://www.absolutepc.fr), but we don't need any defense since WE DID NOT ALLOW POINTS for that submission from the start. ;)
