    For Text editing test , Futuremark use the WordPad application provided with the current Windows installation and perform search & replace operations on the document which is an 85 Kilobyte text. WordPad consists of two main parts, the WordPad.exe program itself and its Wordpad engine which is actually part of the Windows operating system. FMPad.exe is using Wordpad engine which Microsoft has steadily enhanced the WordPad engine over the years while making few corresponding enhancements to the WordPad program. to boost the performance, you need to know the serect of Wordpad engine. Hint : 1. Disable Rich Text Format support in Wordpad engine 2. Disable Unicode support in Wordpad engine 3. Force Match whole word Search and Match case Search in 4. Disable Error Level output in Wordpad engine No DLL Modify required.

    Set style modifications Stand style add = 0x40000000 Standard style remove = 0x800000 Extended style add = 0x20 Extended style remove = 0x10000 This is LOD Windows Setting, No Boarder and make Windows Transparent and remove the Menu. You can try different setting, but make sure your 2D Windows moving tweak is on, Areotuner will make this tweak higher.

    Special thanks to Christian! So I will provide a fastest way to reach 60K Windows. 1. 2D Windows Test is a GDI or Direct 2D performance Test. Small Windows + Black Color + Invisible = Faster. 2. The better way is a registry tweak which I am using. My best score is 100K but sometimes out of focus and benchmark aborted. 3. The fastest way is download a program called "Flash Desktop 2" , run setup.

    I think people enjoy the tweak and benchmarking, last time I show how to make 60K 2D Windows, may be we can disclose what we did, I suggest to disclose PRO's Text Edit, My 2D Windows Tweak, GLUVOCIO's Audio Compresson Tweak. Give me a week , I will disclose my CrossFire Tweak for PCMark 2005, I think this is the better way to keep PCMARK 2005 move, OK?
