Thanks bud! I think stock Vid is like 1.15-1.2V. There are certainly 2 bins above this im thinking.
XTU is a poor bench...but I love it

Sad to see Doug go. Truly an asset to the OC community. But I do think he overreacted, however I can sympathize.
Dan is not you average overclocker, he has been at it for a while now. In my opinion he knows what is right and wrong, he knows the rules.. After watching him sandbag 2 submissions (both were month old subs) I truly realized what Dan was all about. I dont think he is very mature or professional and possibly lets his competitive nature get the best of him. I would like it if people on the top lead by example, many feel they get to be the exception to the rules.
Him saying he misinterpreted the rules is a major insult to every user, every staff member and every vendor. I would drop him in a heartbeat if I sponsored him at all.
Ethics are extremely important to me. Leaders must lead by example. Read and follow rules.
Im really happy the hwbot staff stepped up and did the right thing. I am also very proud of Doug for speaking up, had he not would this whole thing go unnoticed?

nice clocking out there frito!
always nice to see new timers not only meet but beat the standards.
keep up the nice clocks

is this submission invalid from not having a memory tab open for the screenshot. these simple mistakes suck when you have a top place submission. it would be nice to get a mulligan but im fairly sure the rules dont allow it.

Yes i am using windows 7.
I gave it a shot and installed win Xp X64.
Exact same results Was hoping for a miracle.
I know many people have hit good OCs on P67
I wish I could find a decent Z77 board locally to give er a test before I digress and accept that
sometimes you just get potato chips

Do they stop at the same multiplier?
You state that they top out at "around 5.1" so I assume you're trying to play with the BCLK too. Is that correct?
one stopped at 50x
the other at 51x
i can push bclk slightly on both. up to 100.9
i had two 2600k one stopped at multi 54 and one 55 so only way to get more is bclk. no matter of cooling they did that at room temp or minus.both chips will post fine up to 5.9 but wont boot into windows at 5.2 or higher. even if i oc in the OS using asus turbo evo system locks up at 52x or 101x51
Is the "CPU PLL Overvoltage" option enabled in the BIOS?yes pll overvoltage is enabled. i tried this value
enabled
auto
disabled
no difference...

Hey was wondering if anyone has experience with this board
http://www.asus.com/ca-en/Motherboards/MAXIMUS_IV_EXTREME/
heres my issue
so far i have tested two 2500k's. they both max out around 5.1GHz.
even if I go sub zero on Dice the board doesnt seem to wanna scale the cpu's any higher
I am using the latest official bios from asus site and have tried many bios versions to no avail.
dice pot hits about -60c LN2 mode is enabled
VRMs and chipset is water cooled.
not sure if Im doing something wrong, surely these 2500ks will do more than 5.1ghz I hope.
cpu pll voltage. tried from 1.7V-2.2V volts no change
cpu vcore. tried from 1.5V-1.78V no change
kept memory at low frequency and relaxed timings to eliminate that variable
