oh sorry, it's sold

junior-21- is buying the set.
1)boxed
2)comes full bundle but from a different apex, because i bought the mobo here on forum without nothing.
3)yes as i said i did some tests with no ht,because of the latency based tests, since then i didn't touch it,lost interest and it sits just like that.yes on ambient temperature as u can see the picture and around 1.35v which could be a bit higher, because now sits at 5ghz and 1.35v
4)it's clearly written EU
even Junior didn't ask these questions, and he didn't even remember that i bought from him a different 7980xe in December.

is it possible to update the bios of the ASROCK Z170 OC FORMULA via usb without a cpu installed?
thanks

Hi.
Selling because of a failed project, and just sits and picks dust.
i9-7980xe 3 months old, got it in august, delided and installed 15 mins after arrived :),used not more than 20 hours, did just some latency based tests and that's it.
it clocks pretty decent without hyper threading with ram at 4000mhz,it did 5.1ghz around 1.35v on water.
32GB g.skill 3600cl16 f4-3600c16q-32gtzr runs great at 4000mhz cl16-17-17-36
asus apex vi,bought it here on forum
waterblocks:
cpu Alphacool NexXxoS XP³
vrm HEATKILLER® MB-X VRM ASUS RAMPAGE VI - ACRYL
direct die frame Delid Die Guard Cover Protector IceMan Cooler polished to make the die pop out and make contact with the waterblock.
I'm not unbundling, selling as a block, because everything is already installed.
Selling for 1550 euros shipped via paypal or bank transfer.

i'm aiming for daily or benching for a couple of hours, insulation is not a problem,i have several plans how to deal with it.
what i need to know is a guesstimate this ram kit can do at -30ºC and what tdp will have at 1.7/1.75v in total for 4 sticks.the tdp is important to know,i will choose the peltier based on that, maybe -60ºC could be achievable, but i need to know the tdp, approximation.
edit:
so i looked around the forum and saw some results.from what i saw in my case 2400mhz in theory could do cl 8-11-10-28 cr-1t or cl 8-10-10-25 cr-1t hoping for tRFC around 150 from current 195.then the secondary and tertiary will look for a guide, will try to lower by one and so on.
the problem is that i don't know the tdp,i think around 10w per stick for a total 40/50w for 1.7/1.75v
-
but at least can you give me guesstimate % of success based on experience or saw somewhere or similarity with other kits.
found this but are 2gb sticks http://www.hardwarecanucks.com/news/cpu/g-skill-breaks-the-overclocking-world-record-on-the-intel-lga-1155-platform/
i don't want to go so low on timings, hoping for 8-10-10-28 1t or 7-10-10-25 1t
thanks for reply
-
no no,you didn't understand,i don't want to go over 2400mhz since this cpu has issues,it reduces the pcie lanes, laptop chip made it on z97
i'm interested for 2400mhz cl8/cl7,i simply want to know if this kit can do that at -20/-30ºC hopefully not going over 1.75v, based on someone's opinion that did overclock this type of memory on extreme cooling.
yes the kit has samsung memory,i looked at the serial number.
-
broadwell-c i7 5775c z97
don't let the name fool you,it's a beast of a cpu,it boots with ram at 2933,but since the cpu is a bit special it will reduce the pcie lanes at that speed to something 2x 2.0 i don't remember correctly.

hi guys.
i have this kit g.skill kit F3-2400C9D-8GTXD 4x4gb 9-11-11-31-2N 1.65v and i want to try some extreme cooling with a peltier.
will be possible to achieve 2400mhz cl8 or cl7 with this kit with temps (if achievable) around -20/-30°C ?
i know that the imc plays a big role, but still curious, probably will try to cool the cpu with a peltier too because it's a low tdp cpu 65w,when overclocked won't go over 90/100w.
also what power consumption this ram kit can have with let's say 1.7/1.75v?this info will help me to choose the peltier.
thanks

I think you'd have to insulate it very well. The risk is all yours if you freeze it though.
thanks
-
Subzero and direct die cooling just murders these chips. From what I've read and heard, delidded chips cannot be frozen. They just die. I'm guessing it's because the FVIR gets slightly damp and shorts, causing instant death. Even resealed chips just don't survive.
insulation?
there are lots of types of silicon.

It's the same chip, sorry about that.
The VID is 1.036v and my phase is at -45c (ish) on idle. The CPU doesn't run hot and raises the phase by about 5 - 6c during long loads.
I've constructed my den in the garage and I will be benching tomorrow to try to see if it will go any further. I reckon it will hit 5.5GHz on <1.6 volts but I need to try to get it to boot into 7. I will probably end up re-installing to see if that's the issue or not.
did u try direct die cooling with the phase?
just wondering since my cpu is delidded.
what gain can be with direct die cooling?

Weird,my 4790K love 1.95-2V rangeyeah it's weird, i have benched atleast 10x 4790k and everytime if i used higher than 1.7v for vccin they failed over 4700mhz for max, i found it out when i was benching my 3rd chip and i was shocked
for example my 5ghz chips can do 5ghz only with lower than 1.7v vccin, if i set it on 1.85 it will fail to booting windows

and
http://www.8pic.ir/images/xvxw53jv77l106pg338v.jpg
if i used 1.8v or 1.8v for them they were not 5ghz chips and were just normal 4.8 max chips
yep very weird, mine same over 2v for win7.maybe is windowsXP.
what motherboards are you using ?

@suzuki :
Don't tell to superV where your cpu come from pls

you still whining.
what a shame/lier you are.
already have one with 0.995 vid,so i'm more than satisfied

as always suzuki comes out with the bunny from the cylinder
my 4790k is unbalanced,on idle temps i have 26/21/25/22 with delid,i installed twice the cpu with clu and same, and when benching at 1.4v++ i get 10/15 °C of difference.so let's say that my cpu is on edge to be a failure or jesus one,cuz i think if other two hot cores were like cold ones it could use less voltage for overclocking.

nice.soon i start building my phase.
on win7 u get 5ghz at less voltage than water?how much less?
thanks.
that windows 7 thing is weird,at high frequency's, it's just not working, benches start to give errors.i can boot with my 4790k to win7 5ghz@1.28v,but to make it stable it needs 1.37v,cuz will crash during benches at half of the bench.

3418C011 under phase:
5.3GHz wPrime 1024M @1.525v & 2v VCCIN - 45x cache @ 1.1v
5.3GHz will not boot into Windows 7, no matter what volts (up to 1.65v and 2.4v VCCIN) - I need to try something else I think...
what vids have those at stock on bios and on cpu-z under load on win7 ?
and what temp reach ur phase, and what temps reach the cpu's on bench?
thanks
