Hm, tried to fix it. Now better?
Yep can see it now. Looks good mate.
Now the hard part, is there any way to split per family and note how many gpu'so for the score?
-
Nice work mate.
Just put up bit of a leaderboard, unless PJ can make me something better.

First try, does this look okay?

Might be just my work PC, but I can't see it.

Shall I get an embed leaderboard? What the maximum CPU frequency?
Great initiative @JunkDogg
Embed leaderboard would be fantastic. If we could break it down enough into GTX2xx, GTX4xx etc etc. Not sure if it works like that. Even if the embed one is overall, I'm happy to break it down into the smaller families.
Max CPU freq 4507.
-
What do you mean by "one step above and below"?
Same as SuperPi Challenge's. Freq can be 4503 or what ever comes to with .1 extra on BCLK.

So here is the 3DMark03 Single(x1) GPU LLC/Efficiency Thread.
Submissions must be to existing HWBOT rules found here ; http://hwbot.org/news/875_application_2_rules/
CPU Freq Cap - 4.5Ghz(one step above and below)
CPU Uncore Freq Cap - 4.5Ghz(one step above and below)
No cap on GPU Freq/Memory/Shaders. Be sure to include in your post what Cooling you have used.
Submissions in thread without GPU cooling specified will not be added to leaderboard
I'll maintain a leaderboard based on GPU families in the next post. Make it a bit easier to find what you are competing against.
Remember to have fun!!!

The hardware tab for 300 series AMD Radeon cards doesn't bring up anything. No list at all.
Whilst you guys are quickly fixing this bug.
If you are on OC Esports and use the drop down box to go to Old School is Best School Season 2. You get no info at all. Have to manually go back and fin it again.
When are you guys either a; get it working correctly, or b; Give up and go back to the old format which worked?
Seriously, that platform has been nothing but problematic since day 1 and is showing no signs or any implementation to make it better. I think it would be better off back in beta and back to the old system that works and doesn't have stupid errors that say "oops" everywhere. "Oops" shouldn't happen.

I think generations would be best, perhaps combined where appropriate?
Nvidia Legacy Series
Nvidia 6000/7000/8000/9000 series
Nvidia 200/400/500 Series
Nvidia 600/700/900 Series
AMD/ATI Legacy Series
AMD/ATI 2000/3000/4000 Series
AMD 5000/6000/7000 Series
AMD 200/300 Series
Thanks bass.
This I like. Do it!!!!
Maybe a iGPU and other as well? Just in case.

I realise it will be a lot of sub forums. There are a lot of them in the CPU area as well.
I just think if we have 300 odd threads in one spot no one will ever find anything. Once it's set up though, it should be fairly easy to navigate.
Up to everyone though, I'm just happy to see it happened. Once step in the right direction.
-
@JunkDogg what would you like to see as far as an efficiency thread goes?
What would be a good way to run it do you think? something like our threads on OCAU?
Yeah mate, I think like that would be perfect. It's fairly easy to distinguish who is on air/water and extreme in that format.
We should get the family sub forums put together first though I'd say. This way it's easier to know where they are and easier to find.
If someone could help me as I don't know code/family/architecture names for each generation of GPU. Also how far back you would like it to go until it goes into old school?
Thanks
-
Awesome PJ. Thanks mate.
Will work on bit of a structure, of what I think we could possibly break it down like the CPU sub forums.
Maybe something like this... Open to suggestions on more or less.
Old School

NVIDIA Old School - Still smoking MX's and RIVA's
GeForce 6

pretty good points in 3d hardware with older cards but there is no software voltage for them and the same 6.0+- latest intel chips they are using for 2d will do the trick.
you guys are talking golbals then yeah that's cash since every year it will change to the latest vga's.
we cant have infighting over this crap that's not good for anything.
I so want a jiggling boob chick with a nice fat round as in the next 3d bench and a free one I hope
No women are free mate, I'm afraid. LOL.

I was just reading through the 5G Skylake Tweakers challenge and it got me thinking about some of the issues with 3D lately. Which then got me looking for the GPU section of the forum. It wasn't until then I noticed we don't have one. We have sub forums for nearly every CPU architecture ever made and not even a single sub forum for GPU's.
Could we not set something up like the CPU area? Then set up sub forum's for GPU architectures as they are released?
Then from there I'm sure the set freq efficiency threads would start. Being a lower clock it might encourage more people to get involved. Also will give people somewhere more specific to ask their 3D/GPU questions. Get everything in one place and make it user friendly.
Some nice effiency threads with CPU freq/NB Cap. Could even put a GPU freq/mem cap on it to make it more for tweakers.
Anyway just a thought of stepping in the right direction with the focus on 3D lately.

Backup on those DIMM's Sam if deal doesn't go through.

PM incoming.

wow, I was looking at the score thinking how bad efficiency with such a high clocked CPU, then I realised it was done with FB-dim and totaly owned as choise for the 5th memory type in the competition!
Thanks man.
Congrats! Ever gonna rebench in socket modded 775 hi-end P45 board, or gonna leave it like this forever?Yeah I'll have to sort out something and give it a go.
Pro and I were blown away by it as well, it just kept scaling. Not bad for a random eBay purchase of board chips in one package. :lol:That is an incredible chip! -
This score was absolutely epic, best score of country cup for me
Thanks man. Was a good helping hand on the pots that got it though I suspect.
-
My score here http://hwbot.org/submission/3068213. Should knock out this score here http://hwbot.org/submission/3045923.
This needs to be addressed ASAP.
Here some people would think this stuff would be tested before a competition is started. Oh right I forgot, HWBOT.

I really can't remember the first 24hrs. I remember something about a Vodka Bar and that's about it.

See you guys always assume we are sandbagging - that's the problem. There were plenty of us still benching with 30 mins to go - it aint over till its over.....
30 minutes!!! I stopped Broadwell at 5 minutes when I knew there wasn't enough time. I was trying to get 1900 so bad.

Meaty Meat-hooks for the win!!!!!

The more I think about it, this maybe should be single GPU only. Not sure though, others might want to have their say on that part.
It's hard to think of which way to control it and do the leaderboards. If we go for leaderboards for all families, the 2nd post will end up taking 5 days to scroll past.
