I don't think they are going to change, like you said the comp started almost a week ago. I just think they need to think about what they are doing a bit more, to me it seems like this was thrown together last second simply to make the deadline. I don't think they should change it right now as rule changes shouldn't be made during an active event

This is exactly why I agree with SI's idea of having 4 Intel stages, I would bet big money that the winner is someone who has an 8 core and 4 core i7. So it's as much about spending money as it is skill because anyone with only K sku cpu's has zero chance of winning, and this is a well known fact. Div. 1 is not for Pro or Elite only and for the average serious overclocker finding a good clocking K sku i7 with a strong imc is already daunting enough, and now we gotta go spend $1500+ to even be in the conversation. Another thing as well is last year you could compete without having to buy a $700 gpu especially in Div. 2 & 3, now you have to buy a 980ti to win the Pentium/i3 or core i5 classes. Not a good way to attract newcomers, I thought that was a big part of this years mission or is that only for the World Tour?

Well a guy named Allen gave me a set of 2200c8 8155 pcb PSCx ic mems and a couple tubes of TGrizz just because, made me happy and probably made him happy also and I believe helping others is the best way to grow this hobby

Just get one of those tiny disposable tin bread pan, shape it to wrap memory heatspreader while in slots, line with aluminum foil just in case and fill with dice. Pump that vdimm to 2.15-2.2v and 2666c7 should be possible. I have one or two left just in case but -60ish and 2.15v shouldn't be a problem

That's crazy man, B die is a strange creature. Doug and myself got our highest 1T frequency's the first time trying them. I think my 3600c16 kit booted Win 10 at 3980c12 1T it's been as bad as unable to boot 3733 for me. I haven't fired up the 170 in a week or so. Been busy playing with some fantastic imc es 3258's that allow me to run lower vdimm, sa volts and io's than any of the 10ish retail HW/DC cpu's i have owned and will run 5g on h20. Still wish z97 ln2 board was even half as easy as AsRock to work with. Seriously a poo ton of work even with saved profiles epecially cold

Yep, usually around ½ second slower than 1T, but I don't look at it that way. I see still 4 seconds faster than E Die

The new board appears to be working well, better for gpu than the last with mems being a little tougher. I'd say it's a good fit for what you do, Front Page FTW !

WOW, the two boards I've been waiting for the most and really the only reason I've been buying/binning DDR4 ram and having an interest in Skylake. Gotta love how Intel pushed Overclocking upon release, that we have non K overclocking and motherboard manufacturers care ONLY about Gamers. I mean come on, you have Dino's and Nick basically the faces of OC for GIGA/AsRock saying these boards will be made. These two have made a lot of money for each brand, and now there reputations take a hit because they were led to believe the boards would be released. SAD day for overclocking in my mind

Sure hope it's nothing serious, I've had all kinds of weird bunnyextraction happening especially trying to run 1T and even more so testing 4 x 8gb B die. I'm wondering when I get a 1t capable board if I'll need to up my v dimm a lot from 1t, hope not but I have decent headroom, was able to run 8m at 4000c12 at 1.72v, 4080 takes around 1.8 for this and 4133c12 I am still working on rtl's volts stability etc.

The first day having B die had best results for me, able to run 3900+ 1T. After bios updates it has been downhill for me as well. Kinda worried SA Volts are killing my imc or something. Running chilled water on cpu and lin at -20 to -50C don't seem to help. Gonna use this time to go back and learn older platforms since I'm such a noob. Blackops X48 with about a dozen of different cpu's prepped and ready for the deep freeze. No need for ambient testing other than optimized defaults to see if it even works and boots XP. No better way to learn quickly than doing so at sub zero temps
