Honestly, the way a company handles RMA's is a make or break for the respect i have for them.
Example #1: i will never in my life buy something from OCZ again.
Example #2: I will be loyal to my 2 favorite Swedish webshops, cause the always handled my RMA's great, and send free candy with it :D

Great score, very nice.

Most expensive Superpi 1M score ever?
Anyway, great score guys! Seems like some pretty tense overclocking
-
Pretty obvious who should be judge this year

I think this was the greatest online overclocking contest so far. Some of the top results were just nuts
Congrats to the top5, im sure you guys spend an insane amounth of time, money and effort in it.
Make Europe proud in the world finals!

Very impressive!

this will be interesting

OK - i should have shut my mounth and not even mentioned its running fine.
Karma hit back at me and the board got stuck at "55" after a crash caused by GPU instability.
Luckily, i was able to revive it
Clearing cmos and switching bios chips obviously didn't work. But then i pulled out the memory modules, and let the mb boot to see if it changes it's mind and gives me another answer than "55". And yes it did! .. now got stuck on "20" which is normal i guess without any system memory.
Then just put back memory and booted into bios. Did some testing and everything works bar memory timings. The board just seemed to forget them no mather what. Luckily, reflashing the bios solved it.
Now back to benching...

Haven't got any issues either. Once it locked on to 39x, when running 1 core. But after enabling 2 cores, it was fine again.
Since then ive tested at least 5 more cpu's both on air and LN2, and no issues.

Sad to see MSI and PJ getting so much crap they don't deserve. People, if you want AB-extreme, just ask MSI and sign the NDA. They will let you, if your able to show you're an actuall overclocker and know what you're doing.
-
wow, very good. Nice job!

I haven't had any 16x issues, but my Z77A-GD65 got stuck at 39x for a while today.
Cause of the problem .. benching with 1-core and then crashing to full shutdown.
Easy fix is to bench with 2 cores, and set windows to only use 1 core. Obviously only if the first core is better then the others..

Even a good CPU needs it's well deserved rest from time to time. Give it a day at 16x, and it will happily do 6700+ again

Liquid metal is no-go for subzero, when directly in contact with the die. Between metalls, down to -100 it is superior, but then stiffens up en give terrible results.
-
would be released at that time.
fixed that for ya
-
Very nice! HT-disabled is the way to go for 06?
-
haha damn, you should consider yourself lucky PJ.
-
Now that everything is official: Congrats to top3!

We've all made plans here, ordered LN2, booked flights .......
Haha, It always hurts a bit when buying CPUs and stuff and see the bills on my virtual doormat. But booking flights for a bench session!? .... You just took the pain away for a little moment, thanks for that!
-
yep that looks like poo, guess you need a gene or gd65 if you dare muahahahaha
well it's strong. 2.15v for 2 hours benching was no issue. Got some weird CPU here that scales insanely with voltage, without for that mather reaching very high clocks. Just saying ... board should be no problem.
@PJ: had an issue like that to. Suddenly all my memory multipliers over 1800 where gone. Reflashing bios, and changing between bios chips helped. No clue what happend tho.
btw not using maxmem anymore?
-
I won't
But Leeghoofd will?
-
5200 on air ..wow, thats nice.
Good to see more and more great retail chips are popping up

How many CPU's tried to get this one? Looks like a very nice piece
