  1. Actually, i did experience the exact same problem. The board is very quick at posting and rebooting, also very good stability-wise. But sometimes it just won't get past POST.

Profiles that i saved and worked for an hour of stability testing suddenly won't work after a simple reboot. It either freezes at POST, or when loading windows.

Now for me it was no big deal, cause i was simply running on air. But running cold and than expiercing issues could be a pain, i can imagine.

For me the best option was to have a reasenable safe-profile with CPU clock way down, load it, reboot, make sure it enters windows, and reboot and change what i initially wanted to change. Thanks to quick rebooting, it doesn't take alot of time. But still.. something is spooky..

Otherwise a great board. Love it. Both CPU and memory clocking great and really stable :)

    Edit: using a 2700K

  2. I find that a very weak argument. If it had been banned, you'd just search for scores that seem to high and remove them.

Just like scores using mipmap or other weird tricks, hwbot simply spot's and removes. No need to blame Futuremark. :)

  3. Ehr, what?

Following that logic, we should've never accepted on-die cache. Or a CPU with an integrated memory controller (no more NB!). Or a CPU with multiple cores. Or ...

You totally missed the point, or maybe just ignored it.

Either way, i think there is alot more negative to come by allowing MVP then positive. I really see no reason to use MVP here at Hwbot. All we want is benching and being able to compare score with others. Don't make it futher complicated and ad software that will be basically necessary to achieve a competitive score. Keep it simple, and let the hardware do the work.

  4. I don't like this kind of leaks tbh. It's very impressive, but:

Manufacturers produce insane results -> Everyone is impressed -> Peope start benching themselves -> Everyone disappointed, cause they never reach these clocks.

Pretty much like 7970. OC going way to corporate. Spoils the fun..

  5. How far would i travel for an OC event?

-> go pretty much anywhere in the world. Max flight time set to 20 hours total tho. Stockholm-Taipei is about maximum.

How much would i pay for it?

-> max 300 euro's if it's really worth it. Usually that is what train tickets + preparation and random thing costs to join MOA.
