  1. If I have A1 non-RGB below, Thaiphoon Burner copying and pasting weird, which BIOS do I went from here for benching on air? CPU is custom water but RAM stock Trident Z heatsinks. This is my kit but I'm using an Apex with two DIMM Slots. Trident Z DDR4-3600MHz CL16-16-16-36 1.35V 32GB (4x8GB) https://www.gskill.com/search?keywords=f4-3600c16q-32gtzkk F4-3600C16-8GTZKK
  2. Then again I could always do the CPU OC socket hard mod with heat resistant silver conductive paste or pen (I wouldn't try soldering it) and get the 40 to 44 core I had on my R5E!! I think it can do up to 1.26V with the mod if you measure it after. http://hwbot.org/news/11337_der8auers_guide_for_haswell_e_4ghz_uncore_for_all_motherboards/ My boss walked in and I rushed this post making a half a dozen formatting errors and left out info.
  3. Why I always like ASUS bios updates. You can update a BIOS using Flashback with no CPU, RAM, nothing in the board. I might just put one stick in for BIOS updates and hope that minimizes the risk.
  4. If on my Rampage V Extreme I could get 44 ring ratio at 1.246v you thinking I'm stretching it to get 40 ring ratio at 1.2v on a non Turbo motherboard? Here's hoping, should get my X99A Sli Plus in a day or two, it's been shipped.
  5. Someone is asking me what is the best batch for a 5930k or how can you improve the chances of getting a good overclocker. Is 'J' batch the best for a 5930k? My 'J' batch 5960x does 4.6GHZ CPU, 4.4GHZ cache at 1.296v/1.246V respectively, my 24/7 overclock and does 3200 MHZ on my 8x4GB single sided G.Skill 3000 RAM. On doubled sided RAM (128GB Corsair Vengeance LPX) I have to settle for 2666MHZ though.
  6. I live in the Toronto area and was calling around for a 'J' batch 5960x. This store has two of them (both 'J' batch) as of 9/1/2015 https://www.infonec.com/site/main.php?module=detail&id=470569 for $1315 each if you pay cash or $1354 by credit card etc. which in Canada is pretty good. Just thought I'd put that out there as they are hard to find.
  7. Wait, I figured it out. You are right. In Stage 2 it won't let me type in processor type and temperatures etc. It's filled out automatically with no option for the temps.
  8. Actually it doesn't allow me to type in processor type, filled out automatically, just clock speed etc.
  9. In both Stage 2 and Stage 3 the temperature is not recorded. Not sure exactly where you mean you type it in. I manually type my CPU in the submission page that opens up, no spot to put the temperature.
