  1. Wprime is based on automatic submission. makes no sense to go SS; one or the other!

Please look at it this way too in that staff discussion.

With no SS submissions to compare settings and hardware It kind of makes submissions useless data well at least db wise. Not having this data just chokes the bench. I rather run a bench that I can look at he SS data so i don't have to reinvent the wheel.

Not out to offend anyone. You guys have a great db and that is a major part of HWbot. If the bench isn't helping the db you need to either fix it or drop it.

  2. /begin rant

"impossible score at given settings. might be a cheat"

Would it be to much to ask if the mods could refrain from using the "cheat" word, maybe just use "possible bugged run"?

I'm sure it would reduce some of the hostilities in the forum, I know there are cheaters out there and I have no objection to calling a cheat a cheat but the majority are playing by the rules and a little diplomacy can go a long way.

  3. I think packet may be right so could you check this guys?

I would need the 2 to compare not just the top 100. ;)

    lmao sorry man here

    and

    http://www.hwbot.org/compare.do?resultId=856432

same score same gear diff team? is that allowed? im fairly new

    thanks

  4. I'm sure I'm missing something here but If it don't work why bother to block it?

I mean what could he possibly do to beat a sli'ed vista setup where it does work and if he can well it would be time to look at it.

  5. A test system with NVIDIA GeForce FX 5900 Ultra and the 44.03 drivers gets 5806 3DMarks with 3DMark03 build 320. The new build 330 of 3DMark03 in which Detonator FX 44.03 drivers cannot identify 3DMark03 or the tests in that build gets 4679 3DMarks – a 24.1% drop.

TY good read, just wondering tho would that not mean it's mostly fixed?

@ Dualist was there a discussion tread at the time we could read?

  6. Pls rate Graphic Cards on Hardwarespecs and not on fucking names....

    Looks pretty competitive to me?

JUST SAY that you dont wanna change it because 7800GS is old...to much work for dead categorys.

How about we just say no one will change it because you fall short 110mhz on the core?

Your patience overwhelms me at times jmke ;)

  7. I dont understand this. There not official Nividia cards but they are in the same category as the normal official ones? They are official not existent if u ask Nvidia. They are not Userunlocked they are Manufactor-unlocked...

It's important to note that this is the only X800 GTO in this review that comes factory overclocked in the sense that it has 4 extra pixel pipelines compared to the others, but the engine and memory clock speeds of all of these cards are the same (400MHz/490Mhz).

From the rules, these cards must compete in the original category regardless of how they have been modified. Bios mod, volt mod or unlocked pipes all treated the same. ;)

  8. Cannon, although discussion between crew and members can be very interesting (as seen in the past), it's actually very difficult to find a fair solution brought up in the community and also possible in terms of coding. The feature proposal you're voting on right now has already been subject of discussion and different plans had to be tossed away because it would've been too difficult to code in a reasonable time-frame. The two (well, three) options are a breakdown of the two remaining concepts that are doable to code. The first one requires less time, but allows only partial withdrawal from the leagues whereas the second option takes a bit more time (doable though) but gives us a series of possibilities to add small subfeatures (due to method of coding).

Even for people inside the crew it's sometimes very difficult to find a working solution: most of the time, we have to throw away plans because they are just too time-consuming. In this case, one moment of Jmke's geniality made it possible to work out a decent way to code a feature that allows people not to compete in the league, but still share the scores with the community and still have a personal database of benchmark scores.

Of course, we are still interested in ideas/suggestions/remarks regarding hwbot :-). We'll do what we can to implent the idea, but please don't expect us (well, RB mainly) to add the feature instantly ;).

I understand the coding issues very well, and have no problem waiting a for a feature.

  9. We need more discussion and opinions. Now is the time to tell your thoughts.

Exactly SF3D, it's pretty hard to have a fair vote on vague ideas. It should be a more hashed out plan.

I would also ask this tread be kept on topic and a mod/admin make a "update concept post" every few pages (just so everyone will be on same track) and this should include a note on anything that the site can or can't do. So members could make alternate suggestions until a fair solution is found.

  10. Thanks k|ngp|n, I understand a bit more now. :)

Your after an additional area for unreleased samples and early submissions to even the field a bit?

Then if/when the part gets released it would be the members option to move that run into the league area?

So if someone is given access to a new chip 3 months early, they run the benches and submit to it. The area is open to all comers and farther submission is up to the member. At the same time the mod's have a chance to check and make sure the benched part is equal to the final release and they would have final approval pending on it being equal and the members wish to submit?
