Hello guys,

I have recently started Ocing just for fun, and as i learned about it i noticed my Apu has really nice ocing capabilities.

Reading the following thread:

http://forum.hwbot.org/showthread.php?t=59244

I came to conclusion that my APU has some great potential for further overclocking.

This is TCI info about the APU

So am i right when in my conclusion that it indeed is a rare find and worth overclocking to the max?

Since im quite new in this id like someone to confirm if my conclusion is correct here.

I even competed in AMD rookie rumble #11 and did pretty well with ocing scores with my rig.

APU overclock from 3.8 stock to 5.33 Ghz at 1.55 V

Memory read bandwidth of 18170 Mbps

I have the Asrock FM2A88M EXTREME4+ motherboard, and i was wondering how can i push the apu voltage beyond the maximum that can be set in bios ?

Is there any other way of increasing it further?

Also i am using a low end cooler from cooler master which i am extremely satisfied with!

Any suggestions and comments are highly appreciated!!

Thanks for taking the time to read my post

i dont think you could. i think you will have to get an extreme 6+ to go higher.

Yeah you need a different board. The Gigabyte A88X-D3H does 1.75V core voltage on maximum offset and extreme LLC. The ASUS A88X-PRO does up to 1.9V on the core. I have an Asrock A85X Extreme 6 with an LN2 BIOS that I want to get rid off so if you're in the and you want it we can make a deal.
