AMD CPU Overclocking

Hi everyone, Very new to RAM OC'ing but very interested in learning everything by testing. I'm running an AMD Ryzen 7 9850X3D on an Asus STRIX X870-F board, combined with a G.Skill F5-6000J3038F16GX2-TZ5NR DDR5 kit. Overall I'm very happy with the performance even tho it was a pre-build system. In HWInfo64 I noticed the memory running at 3000MHz as well as the UCLK running at 3000MHz. I assume the UCLK is adjusting to run in a 1:1 ratio with the memory. the FCLK is 'only' running at 2000MHz and ChatGPT is telling me I could reduce the latency between the CPU and RAM if I bump this higher. I have a MSI Evoke OC 5700 XT It's default clock is 1835 mhz, and auto boost is 1945 mhz I used the built in auto overclock feature in the AMD driver to put the core clock at 2136 mhz There is no stability issues and I notice an fps increase, but i want to make sure that it is safe to have auto overclock on in the amd driver in tuning at all time.10.0.0.0.1 192.168.1.254

Does anyone have download link to the bios/ bios's for the board please, i cannot find them.

I recently dug out my old NF7 to bench some Bartons, but i now have the problem, that the FSB is stuck at 100 any changes don't apply in BIOS. The strange thing is, that all other BIOS settings seem to apply fine multi, RAM divider and timings get saved propperly (even though the board doesn't reboot after the warning screen) Things i have tried so far: 2 BIOSes on 2 diffrent chips 1x Infrared BIOS and 1x Manta Rays Raising the FSB in windows --> got up to 117 then crash multiple BIOS resets, all diffrent RAM channels one old unlocked and a newer locked barton... Hope someone with socket A experience can help me...

Can anyone share a bios with incorporated microcode for this cpu? I have Asus Zenith Extreme Alpha and x399 Aorus Extreme. For either of this 2 if you have a working stable bios. Many thanks !

Hi all, Since some time I have 2 Abit AN7 boards. Great boards and I can mod the NB voltage and all... But the Windows XP installation and stability is a horror. While installing I had to make backups of every reboot in the installation process and to come to that point it costs me at least 10-30 tries. I tried several bios versions (modded or not modded), ATA and SATA drives. nothing help, any idea what the problem is? Note that I also have a dfi, Abit nf7-s (2) and an Epox board working fine with all hardware.

Recently I've bought a few nForce 2 boards for 462 socket (Chaintech 7NJS and three Soltek 75FRN2 boards, some with SATA ports, some with IDE only). I wanted to install Win XP on 7NJS today and I failed hard doing this... I cannot get it working on SATA SSD... after few attemps I found out, that I have to create a RAID array with only 1 drive (FastTrak 376 controller, weirdest thing ever). Ok, now installer sees the drive (with controller drivers added using nLite), but after maybe 2-3 hours copying files during Win XP install, the whole installation is corrupted... Ok since the bot has so many cheaters and we can't use win10 how do you install 7 on the Taichi? I have used 2 different iso's I have found that are supposed to let you but don't. Any help would be great.

Hi there ! (sorry if my english is bad ) I overclocked my CPU today at 2.95GHz. The last time I tried more than 2.8GHz i got a blue screen. The only thing that I needed to do was to set the Vcore to 1.5V (1.3625V before). http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=878448 Now, my problem is that I can't go more than 2.95GHz because my CPU need more Vcore. My motherboard (ASUS A8N-SLI DeLuxe) can support up to 1.65V but it allows me only 1.5V. How can I set more Vcore ?

I've some Athlon Thunderbirds which are "factory unlocked" (no lasercut on L1 bridges). Is it allowed to use non-standard multipliers on "factory unlocked" CPUs? Is it allowed to use non-standard multipliers on "factory locked" CPUs?

hey guys,I have successfully OCed my cpu to 2725mhz(260fsb) My ram is DDR2 800mhz,cpu-z reporting 390mhz(780mhz).I set it to 667 in bios. FSB:DRAM is currently at CPU:7 With this setup I get Average 40fps in Dirt2,on ultra graphics. Now the problem! If I lower my ram to 400 in bios,it will run at around 270 in cpu-z. Still my cpu is at 2725mhz,but I get Average 30fps in Dirt2???? Can somebody explain how is this possible,why my ram bottlenecks so hard.How do i find the point at where i will clear the bottleneck
