blck overclocking i3 6100 an asus z270

Featured Replies

bought a good mb cause I ha a cheap h170 board and plan on upgrading processor in a few months in meantime how can I overclock my i3 6100 iv tried all sorts of settings readin z170 guides but couldn't find any z270 guides what guide woiuld be best an other pointers?

btw can change blck easy in z270 but I alwaysw get non bootable black screen wont go back into bios without reset

Non-K overclocking was disabled in the new BIOS microcode. All Z270 have the new BIOS microcode to support Kaby Lake processors. Non-K overclocking is not possible anymore, sadly enough

are ypou sure about this as it appears I can easily change the blck on my asus z270. also there's an AI auto that automatically gives me 100mhzm extra making my speed 3800-mhz. had no issues running memory st 3200mhz either

On the BCLK: it's limited to 102.9 MHz by design. So you will always be overclock 2.9%, but after that it's hard-lock.

On the AI auto: is it just forcing the highest turbo ratio?
