7700k Rookie oc question

Hello as far as i understand i made a mistake and bought 7700k with msi b250i mobo.. and cant overclock the cpu, i think?

 

But can i use "intel extreme tuning utility" for overclocking?

 

i have 212x for cooling.. there is a picture of iet utility..

Don't think it will work mate.. you will be limited to the turbo multiplier (45)

Yea, you gonna need a Z270 board. I got a MSI Z270 SLI plus board, if you are interested, if not there are plenty of cheap but good Z270 boards out there, but if your wanting to get the most out of your 7700k, you may want to look at boards in $200 range or there abouts. Plus once you get new board sale your B250i, online, or post on local market in your area.
