No.15 Posted February 7, 2017 Posted February 7, 2017 I have a 1080 that I am having pretty good success overclocking. Thing is I don't really understand how to test the memory overclock. I think if you go to high it will do error correction and slow down, I just don't know how to test that easily. My settings so far. Any ideas? No matter where I set the memory slider, I get similar scores in firestrike. Is there a test program that has a steady fps that you can really see the changes as you adjust? Quote
Splave Posted February 7, 2017 Posted February 7, 2017 Timespy is a good one to check mem stability and score scaling. When your score stops raising then u either dont need more mem MHz or your mem is unstable. Quote
No.15 Posted February 9, 2017 Author Posted February 9, 2017 Great. I will try that out and see what I get. Thanks Quote
Nick Peyton Posted February 9, 2017 Posted February 9, 2017 OCCT is good too. I've also found GDDR5X loves low temperatures. By running a low water temp through my block I'm able to get +925 fully stable with only a small voltage boost to memory. Quote
