Posted June 3, 20177 yr I have tried submitting my CPU-Z validation link, which I believe is legit. However, the message comes back saying it is invalid. My link is a standard link: https://valid.x86.fr/ts44pj It does not have the additional language including the "-secret". I tried making it "private" by clicking the check box. That did not make a difference. Please help. CoachAub
June 3, 20177 yr Author Actual error msg: your submission is incorrect Validation error: A valid x86-secret url is required for cpu-z submissions.
June 3, 20177 yr Administrators When will people learn that you only have to remove the s from https to make it work, no one needs a secure version of http for things he publshes for others to look at - please simply remove the s
June 3, 20177 yr Author I missed the "s". It was generated by CPU-z, so I never considered it being https. I merely copied and pasted. Thanks.
June 3, 20177 yr Why don't you fix the parser on hwbot to accept both http and https. Some people are using https-everywhere extension or similar Plus the validation message is not really helpful. It's like saying "there's an error with the value in this field" while you're trying to register for some service/site, without providing any details Sounds fun, eh? If I, as a developer, did similar thing with the validation for any of the products I'm working on, a QA would assign me a bug.

Youre right, I just created a ticket. Lets see if Massman has time for that. Actually, this should be a no brainer so maybe we see something soon.
