MAFRI Posted August 3, 2008 Posted August 3, 2008 Hi, i was searching some scores with the X800 GTO AGP and found this: http://hwbot.org/ResultBrowseByVideoCard.do?gpuModelId=1289 i think they were cheating. .. mafri Quote

Monstru Posted August 3, 2008 Posted August 3, 2008 I know some of those guys, and I know they live in different cities. I also see that the clocks significant different on those GFX's, so I think that it's either different hardware, or a buy/sell issue. Anyway, when I look at that memories come back..It seems like ages ago Quote
Bustah Posted October 21, 2008 Posted October 21, 2008 (edited) I really do not understand how this score can be checked by a moderator and verified? http://www.hwbot.org/result.do?resultId=718801 1st its entered into the wrong category, its a x800 gto card, not x800xt pe agp also the clock speeds that the shot of ati tool shows are very different to what the submitted speeds are. to be fair there is no knowing what this card is, on top of that this score looks like it was moved from another category. At best the information conflicts way too much to be a valid score, let alone the 10k + difference to everyone elses score, it cannot be correct. If it is correct could someone please explain why its correct. thanks. btw im not suggesting anyone cheated here, i followed the link by the original poster. I think this is just a case of wrong category. Edited October 22, 2008 by BUSTAMOVE Quote
TASOS Posted October 24, 2008 Posted October 24, 2008 I really do not understand how this score can be checked by a moderator and verified? http://www.hwbot.org/result.do?resultId=718801 That score must be deleted. Quote
TASOS Posted October 25, 2008 Posted October 25, 2008 not deleted; just correctedDemiurg corrected it first time around, but bug in HWbot engine doesn't always pick up hardware change it's filed under the correct hardware category now You are kidding ... wright ? The above entry-score has ZERO elements to prove a valid hwbot 2k1 result. Only a link to forumpost, with a photo that doesnt proove anything. A 2K1 photo where the tab score hides everything about the vga and analysis An atitool tab ... that says nothing. ...and a cpuz tab of an opteron. Quote
TASOS Posted October 25, 2008 Posted October 25, 2008 who's Wright and what have they got to do with any of this? 1) you skipped the part of the date of the score. 2) the score is not suspicious 3) you did notice that the score has 0 hwboints, right? If I was kidding I would have said: "A horse walks into a bar. The bartender says, "So, why the long face?" 1)You skipped the part of the date that the score was submitted 2)Who says that ? 3)It's not about points ... it's about RULES. ...and a few days ago ... the score had points (in an other vga category). Also ... is it "this" or "these" ? Quote

Also ... is it "this" or "these" ? If this screen was submitted today it would definately be removed. However, it was submitted a LONG time ago - and was probably valid at that time. Unless the score is way too high for the CPU clocks, there's no reason to block it. Quote
TASOS Posted October 26, 2008 Posted October 26, 2008 thank you Knopflerbruce, TASOS the score was submitted in 2006, the score does not need to be blocked because it's not suspicious for the hardware used, it's not too high, only wrong hardware match. so "is this cheating?" answer: it was never cheating; unless you want to call everybody who mismatched a score to the wrong hardware a cheater.... be it on purpose or accidental. I never said anything about cheating. In my opinion that score was submitted the wrong way from the start. This score must be deleted even if it was submitted in 1950. There is absolutely no proof for the hardware used (vga) ... so you cant really match it to any category. It could even be a GTo2 with unlocked pipes ... or anything else. Does it even show the display analysis ? ... NO So what's the point of continuing this chat ? What do you want to prove ? Rules must apply for everybody. Let me remind you ... that a result of mine (over a year old) had been deleted by the crew ... repeat deleted (not blocked) just because at that time i was using crystalcpuid instead of cpuz. Quote
