celer333 Posted November 8, 2018 Share Posted November 8, 2018 HI, my mobo is pro-e, now i m running on this mobo with bios 8F on i7 920 no problem so far here. But if i put xeon E5649 here and turn PC on, it start like on 1s, then restart, PC is "running" like for 15s but nothink happened, black screen no lights on keyboard, after 15s restart, then 1s, then 15s.... I have 2 this xeons, problem is with both I see on hwbot and on web xeons are working on this mobo but i think i need some moded BIOS (updated microcodes for xeons). ground Posted November 9, 2018 Share Posted November 9, 2018 I had that combo a while back, don't really have much of the data anymore, but you can check the BIOS version in one of my valids.
