Guest Ximi Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 Thanks George !! Do you know because I get error at launch it ? I try with 2600 K , at 2 cores active and with 4 cores active , the same error ... Why ? Quote
Christian Ney Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 (edited) set the affinity to only one core when multithread test involving grammar test is going to start Edited June 17, 2011 by Christian Ney Quote
George_o/c Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 (edited) You need to set one core affinity when grammar is loading and then re-set affinity to all cores when the next test is loading I made this video back in December with my old-dog 2005 camera. I should use camtasia studio next time and upload a better quality video! Edited June 17, 2011 by George_o/c Quote
Guest Ximi Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 But aplication dont run , show that error on launch. PD : Windows 7 Ultimate x86 Quote
George_o/c Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 Oh i haven't tried it on win7, so I don't know if it works 100%. Have you tried running it as administrator? I've only tested this app on XP. Quote
BenchZowner Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 You can use my method as well. On the fly priority change using a program ( Launch & Set affinity it's called if I remember correctly ), or a batch file. I think I mentioned how here & on XS.org forums as well ( also included a video ) Quote

I set CPU 0+1 afinity at start , select CPU 1 and prepare to push button aply but when Grammar Check is running , I press aply and PC Mark 04 aborted normally. Another video link ? Thank's !! Quote
BenchZowner Posted June 17, 2011 Posted June 17, 2011 You need to be fast. Hit the button while the previous test is in de-initialization status. Quote

George_o/c Posted June 19, 2011 Posted June 19, 2011 Oh so it works fine then even in Windows 7? Nice I have to test some PCMark 04 as well with my 2600k Quote
Guest Ximi Posted June 19, 2011 Posted June 19, 2011 Work fine with Win XP , and 2 Core Actives ! Another solution for more Core active's is running wPrime for load CPU usage. Quote
